During a game of Truth or Drink, Andy Cohen asked Melissa Gorga, “What do you think will last longer: Joe’s stand-up career or Luis & Teresa’s marriage?” according to a reporter from The List. Melissa avoided the question, taking a drink. On the other hand, Joe didn’t hold back, declaring, “My stand-up career, baby!” According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, he had his first stand-up comedy show in February 2020.
This wasn’t the only time Joe alluded to drama with his sister. During a “Real Housewives of New Jersey” panel, a fan asked why Joe and Melissa joined the series when there was an existing conflict between him and his family, per Page Six. “Was fame more important than family?” the audience member asked. Melissa explained that their decision to join the show was “never behind her [Teresa’s] back.” The question clearly sparked a strong reaction in Joe, as he then jumped up to defend their decision. In a passionate speech, he said, “I am tired of hearing that bull****. Because you know what? If you love each other, right? And we’re family, you help one another rise.”
