‘Bring My Quints Back,’ Poor Dad Repeats Same Prayer Daily until He Gets Letter ‘from God’ — Story of the Day

Christopher and Alice had a beautiful family, but after Alice’s death, their family was torn apart. However, through Christopher’s act of faith, he was able to bring it back together.

Christopher and Alice were high-school sweethearts who got married right after graduating. They met as teenagers, and the chemistry was undeniable.

Alice was a woman of faith, whereas Christopher didn’t believe in God. Over the years, they started going to church together, but Christopher did it purely to appease his wife.

The couple had always wanted a large family, hoping for maybe three children. However, they were never ready for what fate had waiting for them.

Alice gave birth to quintuplets, and Christopher was utterly baffled because Alice had once mentioned having a dream about having quintuplets.

As he was putting the final touches on dinner, he heard a car pull. Christopher was excited about Alice’s return, so he immediately rushed for the door to help her with her bags.

“Hey, honey! I didn’t expect you so soon. I was—” Christopher yelled as he opened the door to an unexpected surprise. Two police officers stood before him. They both removed their hats, their eyes filled with regret.

The officers explained that Alice had passed away in an accident and asked if Christopher could help them identify the body. That day, as Christopher realized his wife was gone, he lost the little faith he had gained.

“God, please bring me back my children.”

The following weeks were a nightmare for Christopher. His in-laws kicked him out of his home and took the children. He was deprived of parental rights because he had no job or house.

The children were distraught that not only had they lost their mother, but now they couldn’t see their father as well. They were never close to their grandparents, so they felt alone.

Christopher found himself on the streets and struggled to find a job in his condition. Nobody gave him the time of day because he looked desperate, poor, and homeless. At this point, Christopher was utterly engulfed by despair.

“God, please bring me back my children.”

He prayed the same prayer every day for two months. Then, one day he found a letter “from God” near where he used to sleep. It had a job offer and a note that read, “No need for an expensive suit. Come as you are. For God accepts us as we are.”

Christopher went to the interview and got the job. His new boss, Bruce, explained that he had sent the letter. He had overheard his prayer at church, and it brought forward his guilt for the death of his son, whom he had neglected. He took it as a sign from God to help Christopher.

Christopher was extremely grateful, and his faith had never been stronger. He worked hard at the company and got a house. He eventually convinced the court to restore his parental rights, and they were a family again.
