Known for his works in Science and Technology, Bruno Latour passed away at 75 on October 9.

Who is Bruno Latour?

Born on June 22, 1947, Bruno  Latour was a philosopher and sociologist who hailed from Beaune, France. He came in first for the French National exam and got his Ph.D. in philosophical theology from the University of Tours in 1975. He taught at Ècole des Mines de Paris and was a London School of Economics professor. 

His interest not only lies in philosophy but also had a keen interest in anthropology, and he undertook fieldwork in Ivory Coast. He was not only a philosopher and teacher but also a writer. Some of his well-published books were Laboratory life, Science in action, We have never been Modern, and Politics of nature. Some notable prizes he received in his career were the Holberg prize in (2013 ) and the Kyoto prize in 2021.

How did Bruno Latour die?

The French philosopher Bruno  Latour passed away due to pancreatic cancer. He was 75 at the time of his demise.

The news of his death has saddened his near and dear ones. French prime Minister Emmanuel Macron even posted a tribute to the late French philosopher on social media.

Latour parents were Azzizurrahman Latjuba and Ann Muller .

Regarding his relationships, he is married, but information regarding his wife isn’t disclosed to the public. They are blessed with two children whose name is also not disclosed to the public. The reason behind the death of the French philosopher was pancreatic cancer.

The funeral of the late French philosopher Bruno has yet to be announced by his family. May his soul rest in peace.
