Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are regarded as two of the most stunning actresses ever appearing in movies and television shows. Their incredible acting has earned them the respect of their peers and many fans.

Both beautiful celebrities met as teenagers and grew up to become best friends. Known for their timeless beauty, Barrymore, now 48, and Diaz, 50, are also admired for putting a high premium on lifelong friendships.

Diaz and Barrymore’s friendship started way back when they were still young. Barrymore recalled that she was 14 when she met Diaz, who was 16 and a junior model.

Their friendship has endured for a very long time, and they have both been present to celebrate the other’s major life and career accomplishments. Barrymore gushed about their friendship with a playful endearment:

“She’s still my bestie and sistie—sistie? That’s a new word. It’s Cameron Diaz. We’re here to talk and we have things to talk about!”

Barrymore, Diaz, and actress Lucy Liu made a lasting impact in the film industry with their iconic roles in the 2000 hit, “Charlie’s Angels.” Barrymore portrayed Dylan Sanders, Diaz played Natalie Cook, and Liu brought to life, Alex Munday.

The second sequel, “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” was released in 2003 after the first movie’s success. Both films were adaptations of the TV series of the same title, started by Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson.

Although Barrymore has stepped away from acting, she recently expressed interest in the possibility of a third “Charlie’s Angels” installment in the future. She stated that the chance to reunite with her co-stars is worth showing up for.

She also said she finds the idea interesting because she and her co-stars have a solid foundation and history behind them. She viewed it as building upon something rather than just making films. She added:

“Because then you’re talking about life experiences, and time with people who are really important to you, and that isn’t work. That’s a gift.”

A new “Charlie’s Angels” film featuring actresses Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Ballinska was released in 2019, but the characters they portrayed had different names than those of their predecessors.

Best Friends for 34 Years

Barrymore and Diaz have been best friends for 34 years. Despite their busy lives with family and careers, they have always been there for each other through the good times and bad.

In 2021, the two talented actresses reunited during a cooking session Barrymore streamed live on Instagram. Both of them cooked in their own kitchens.

During a cooking session together, Barrymore shared that Diaz is an excellent chef and credited her for teaching her how to cook while they were roommates and traveling for work.

Barrymore shared a story about when she and Diaz stayed in a hotel room together. During their stay, Diaz taught her how to make pasta sauce. Diaz admitted that food is her “love language.”

In addition, Barrymore also revealed that she and Diaz often exchange texts while getting ready for events. They communicate by sending each other videos of themselves getting dressed and dancing around in their closets.

Reflecting on their friendship spanning more than 30 years, Barrymore stated that their connection had encompassed more than just sharing meals and exchanging messages. She said:

“We’ve experienced birth, life, death, marriage, divorce—highs and lows, work, boyfriends, friends, travel—there is nothing we haven’t done together.”

Aging with Grace Together

Just as their bond will remain unbreakable, the timeless beauty of Diaz and Barrymore will never fade. Many admirers praise the actresses for aging with grace and elegance.

Another reason why many fans continue to love Barrymore and Diaz is because of their authentic beauty. When Barrymore uploaded a picture of her and Diaz on Instagram, fans noted that both stars had never made any cosmetic enhancements.

A fan praised Barrymore’s photo, as it was a refreshing change from the overuse of editing on social media. According to the fan, Daiz and Cameron never used filters or fillers to enhance their appearance. They proudly flaunted their wrinkles.

The post received a lot of positive feedback from fans, as well as from other celebrities. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow showed her admiration using heart emojis, and Kristen Bell referred to Barrymore and Diaz as “cuties.”

Diaz has been unconcerned about the concept of beauty or aging. In a BBC interview in 2022, she stated that her appearance was the last thing on her mind. She said:

“I don’t care. Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis — like maybe not at all during the day — is what I look like.”

Diaz also opened up about how hard it is to be in the spotlight and how difficult it can be not to compare yourself to what society believes is beautiful.

Diaz admitted that it was easy as an actress to “pick yourself apart” and be critical of her own body. She has enjoyed her own sense of freedom since retiring from acting in 2014.

She now embraces a more “wild” appearance and has stopped being cruel to herself and her body. She described herself as a “wild animal, a beast!” over the last eight years.

Meanwhile, Barrymore revealed that she never did anything to her face. Instead of following the latest beauty trends involving cosmetic surgery, Barrymore sticks to her own beauty routine, which includes applying moisturizers and serums.

Barrymore considers herself “rebellious” because she witnessed women’s pressures to look a certain way. She added, “I probably went to too many opposite extremes. Now I’m boring and safe and healthy.”

With their bond stronger than ever, Barrymore and Diaz continue to inspire others with their 34 years of friendship, proving that true friends are truly invaluable.
