Carrie Underwood's Fans Teared Up Seeing Family Bond as Son Blew Her Kisses after Long Battle to Become Mom

Carrie Underwood touched her fans with a sweet video of her sons and husband cheering her on at a concert.
Her family was not always full of happiness due to many miscarriages. However, the pain of loss only strengthened her marriage and made the couple a true team.
She relied on faith in God in her darkest times, and her hope finally paid off.
After having children, it turned out Carrie is a natural-born mother.

Country star Carrie Underwood recently shared a heartwarming video of her sons on her Instagram. In the video, the singer can be seen swinging over a large crowd of people during her performance. Meanwhile, Carrie’s young son is waving happily to her in the foreground.

The singer added in the video that one of her boys was sleeping while the other was blowing kisses. As a caption, she wrote that her boys came to so their mommy’s first show. She commented, “Jakey caught a few songs, at least, before he drifted off to dream land…”

Carrie’s fans couldn’t get enough of the adorable post. Many fans shared how precious they found the children’s support. One fan mentioned that they saw the singer’s young boy wave and shout and noted how touching it was.

Another noticed how Isaiah, the one waving, didn’t want to leave. When their dad, the retired hockey star Mike Fisher, tried to take them home, the fan heard the oldest son asking to watch just one more of his mother’s songs.

It seems Carrie’s post truly touched her fanbase. One of the commenters even said that the post had her in tears. She described the boy’s reaction to seeing his mother as, “a treasure,” and shared how glad she was that the show turned out well.

The oldest of the two boys, Isaiah Fisher, recently turned 7. As the boy grows older, he seems to realize more and more that his mother has an unusual job. She explained that some of his classmates have noted that they see his mom on TV and that he’s slowly becoming aware that she’s famous.

Carrie and her husband have another son, Jacob, who is now only three years old. The country musician says that since she’s had kids, she tries to get home between shows as often as possible. Her sons also join her on days when they don’t have school.

The family is very content, and Carrie finds being a mother deeply satisfying. But things haven’t always been this happy for the two parents. Having her two sons must seem like a fantasy made real for Carrie, who has struggled with infertility in the past.

Carrie’s Struggle to Have Children

Although Carrie seems to have a booming career and a fantastic marriage with Fisher, things have gone awry in the last couple of years. With the release of her album “Cry Pretty,” she explored the sadness that plagued her.

Before 2019, the singer suffered three miscarriages over the course of two years. It tinged her songs with the personal sadness she felt at the time instead of the dramatic scenes that marked her songs before. She noted how she tried to keep looking happy at the time:

“I was still trying to do my job and put on a smiley happy face and be Carrie Underwood. And then I’d go home and fall apart.”

She mentioned how she expressed her sadness through her music and how people often don’t speak about their experience after having a failed pregnancy. When she talked to some of her friends that went through the same thing, she was surprised at the similarities in their experiences and sad that she never knew about it before.

With Carrie’s fourth pregnancy, things took a turn right before she lost all hope.

She mentioned that she’d never forget the experience. It even took her a while to be able to sing certain songs without tearing up. Even now, she finds “Cry Pretty” and “Low” quite challenging to perform, but at the same time, the songs are therapeutic.

Carrie shared that the entire experience was traumatic and that she still mourns for every one of the lost children. During this time, the musician put her faith and trust in God. She decided that whatever happened must be part of a greater plan:

“And that was the thing, in the beginning, it was like, ‘Okay, God, we know this is, just wasn’t Your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.'”

After the second and third miscarriages, she was at the end of her rope. The situation was confusing. She felt she couldn’t be afraid because she was very fortunate in other aspects of her life. Yet, the pain of losing child after child weighed heavily on her.

She thought the fourth pregnancy would also be a miscarriage, and she prayed, asking why she kept getting pregnant only to lose the child. Eventually, she went to get a checkup, expecting the worst. Instead, the doctors told her everything looked perfect.

The Birth of Isaiah

With Carrie’s fourth pregnancy, things took a turn right before she lost all hope. The doctors confirmed that everything looked good, and the chances of another miscarriage were low. Suddenly, the Grammy winner’s faith paid off.

She was ecstatic about the pregnancy but felt slightly guilty over becoming angry. Even though she endured three miscarriages, she had her firstborn and was content with her career and marriage. She remembered:

“Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”

But the birth of her second son restored her hope. The singer could finally start recovering from the trauma of losing three children. She was open about the experience. She also shared what it was like to be a mother to her two young boys.

With the birth of her first son, Carrie was slightly nervous. She explained that she had never been around babies before, which made her anxious. But after the young Isaiah was born, she had very little trouble:

“We’re laid-back parents and he’s a laid-back baby and … it surprised me that it’s a little easier than I thought it was gonna be.”

Carrie remembers her previous tour when she brought Isaiah with her. Back then, the little guy was barely a toddler, so she fitted a crib into the back of her tour bus so she could be near him constantly. During this tour, she frequently made space to accommodate her child’s needs:

“It’s definitely a balancing act. I have help, because someone has to watch Isaiah when I’m on stage, but we live a lot more on the bus now instead of going in and out of hotels.”

They also often had to find entertainment for the little one during the day. Now that Carrie has two children, having them travel with her is a bit more tricky. Still, she makes sure to either visit them as often as her tour allows or have them come to her when school is out.

Carrie and Mike, her husband, work together brilliantly. Mike plays a crucial role when Carrie is performing, but when she is home, she takes up the part of a doting mom. She opened up about her private life and said her children and husband are the high points of her life.
