Chris Pratt Confesses Meeting Love of His Life at Church Saved Him after Being ‘Broken’ Divorcé

The “Passengers” actor, born on June 21, 1979, has recently been in the news after people passed comments about his faith.

Chris Pratt, who tied the knot with Katherine Schwarzenegger, the daughter of “The Terminator” actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, defended himself against those who pointed fingers at him.

While discussing his haters, Pratt confessed that being criticized wasn’t new for him. “That’s the way it is. Nothing new. 2,000 years ago, they hated him [Jesus], too,” he explained.

The “Jurrasic World” star holds his faith very close to his heart. One reason is that it helped him meet Katherine after a difficult divorce from his first wife. Their meeting soon led them to marry each other on June 8, 2019.

Pratt married the “Just Friends” actress Anna Faris on July 9, 2009. The couple had spent time with each other before starting a new chapter of their lives, but things didn’t work out.

During their marriage of eight years, the couple welcomed a son, Jack Pratt, who their raised together. However, Pratt’s fans were shocked when he suddenly announced his split after news about Faris dating another man came to light.

On August 7, 2017, Pratt took to social media to share the news publicly. While expressing his sadness over parting ways with Faris, he shared that the couple had tried to fix things between them, but nothing worked.

“Our son has two parents who love him very much, and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” the “Wanted” actor added.

Since Pratt and Faris loved Jack dearly, they decided to remain friends for the sake of their little one. Being a caring father, Pratt did everything to keep Jack happy despite going through the worst time of his life.

“Divorce sucks,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor confessed. A month after the announcement, Faris was seen with another man, her new boyfriend, Michael Barret.

Sources revealed the new couple was seen together in Malibu, California, and it seemed like they were having a good time.

Meanwhile, Pratt had a hard time after his divorce was finalized in 2018. In an interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the actor confessed:

“There was a moment in my life that I was really struggling and felt really broken.”

Soon, things became better in Pratt’s life after he met his now-wife, Katherine. Their first meeting wasn’t something the actor had expected.

After watching his love life crumble, the “Moneyball” actor found himself in a difficult place. While trying to feel better after the heartbreak, Pratt built a connection with God. He found spirituality to heal him, unaware that it would also help him find the love of his life.

While being open about his religious beliefs, Pratt confessed to asking God, “Please save me.” Talking on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the actor revealed that he met his now-wife, Katherine, in a church.

“I was in the front row of the church,” Prat recalled when he noticed Katherine. At that point, he did not know who she was, but keeping his eyes off her inside the church was hard for him.

After meeting and knowing each other, the couple instantly developed a bond and soon began dating. Being with her made him realize God had answered his prayers because he felt “saved” after meeting “the woman of his dreams.”

Later during the interview, Pratt described his connection with Katherine as a missing puzzle piece. “It just fits together,” he said.

The actor also thinks his faith helped him find Katherine, who he proposed in 2019. The couple tied the knot later that year and have welcomed two daughters into their lives till now.

While expressing his happiness about having the perfect little family, Pratt spoke about God’s “perfect plans.” He also believed there is a fixed time for things to happen, and people need to trust God and see how things eventually work out.
