Christopher Briney’s Girlfriend Isabel Machado Is Also an Actress – Inside Their Romance

Christopher Briney recently shot to worldwide fame following his starring role in the Amazon Prime series “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” His portrayal as one of two romantic interests embroiled in a love triangle has piqued fans’ interest in his love life off-screen.

Christopher Briney has been dubbed as one of Hollywood’s most promising rising stars. The 25-year-old drew his first breath in Danbury, Connecticut, on March 24, 1998. Driven toward an entertainment career, he honed his craft at Pace University.

The young actor studied Film, TV, Commercial Acting, and Voiceover and attained his degree in May 2020. He is relatively new to the industry but has taken full advantage of his training.

His first onscreen project was a 2018 horror film short titled “Under the Covers.” He starred in another called “Want This” in 2020, portraying a character named Benjy. In 2022, Briney appeared as James in the biographical drama “Daliland.”

He shared the screen with Hollywood stars Ben Kingsley and Ezra Miller. He then landed his breakout role as Conrad in “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which debuted in June 2022 and released its second season in May 2023.

Fans can also expect to see Briney in “Mean Girls: The Musical,” alongside Angourie Rice, Jenna Fischer, Tina Fey, and Jon Hamm. However, when the actor isn’t dazzling audiences onscreen, he’s biking, playing baseball, or spending quality time with his lady love, Isabel Machado.

Lola Tung plays the protagonist Belly in “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” She and Briney portray an onscreen couple in the book-adapted series, much to the satisfaction of its viewers. Some even took to Twitter to praise the actors for staying true to the source material.

One person wrote, “I would like to formally thank lola tung and christopher briney for making my tummy have butterflies watching them they honestly beat my imagination. (sic)”

Alongside adorable pictures from their scenes, another said, “Lola Tung and Christopher Briney understood the assignment.” When the co-stars first met, Tung admitted that she initially felt intimidated by Briney but soon realized:

“He’s so kind and so sweet and a little more on the shy side. You can never really be 100 percent sure, but working with him was just so easy because he’s a great actor and a great person.”

Tung is currently a student on hiatus at Carnegie Mellon College. Although the romantic lives of her and her co-stars have been a subject of interest, it appeared the actress wasn’t romantically involved with anyone at the time of writing.

Machado and Briney are believed to have met when they studied in New York City. The two started appearing on each other’s Instagram timelines in 2018 but only began dating in 2021.

In June 2022, Briney celebrated their relationship’s first anniversary with a sweet black-and-white photo of Machado hugging him from behind, captioning, “a whole year!? i could never want anything else. (sic)”

The couple has since flaunted their romance online with swoon-worthy appreciation posts. In October 2022, Briney posted a short thread of Machado’s pictures, simply admiring her beauty. In January 2023, Machado shared a black-and-white photo of her and Briney sharing a passionate kiss.

Machado is a trained actress who, like Briney, also graduated from Pace University in May 2020. She has an official website detailing her experience in Theatre, TV, and Film. She is also a singer who can belt to high G and a dancer with skills in ballet, Jazz, modern, and more.

Additionally, she can play the piano and loves yoga. She has played the lead in several theater productions, and her onscreen credits include a role in the 2010 short titled “Minuet” and the 2015 romantic drama “Akron.” She goes by isabelrmachado on IG.
