WHO IS CLAIRE STOERMER?

Claire Stoermer, whose full name is Claire Maree Stoermer, was born on March 24, 1964, in Oakland, California. She was born to Phillip Hillary Stoermer and Daphne Carol Whitelaw. She attended Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and got her tertiary education at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, where she graduated in 1987.

When it comes to her roots, Claire is of Dutch, German, and Scottish ancestry. In 2021, she spoke about her Scottish roots during an interview with Daily Mail. In the interview, Claire revealed that her grandfather was a heroic World War One soldier. She said:

“He fought in the First World War for about a year. He was shot in the shoulder while in the trenches and came home [to Canada] with shrapnel wounds.”

Claire has quite a tall stature, which is evident in some of her images. In March 2020, she took to her Instagram and posted a hilarious photo about people’s reactions to tall people. The image was of a woman holding a sign that said:

“STOP SAYING “YOU ARE TALL!” TO TALL PEOPLE.”

Claire Stoermer is an elementary school teacher, and Zendaya has often expressed how inspired she is by her mother’s passion and commitment. Speaking to Teen Vogue, Zendaya said:

“Growing up, I watched my mom teach in the heart of Oakland, California, at inner-city schools that were always underfunded. My mom went above and beyond, working constantly to open her students’ eyes to an education that could lift them far beyond their current circumstances.”

She went on to reveal how this caused her to realize how important education is saying, “Watching her was magical; it instilled within me a true appreciation of and devotion to the importance of education.”

Before becoming a teacher, Claire Stroemer was a House Manager at the California Shakespeare Theater in Orinda. According to her daughter, this inspired her to pursue an acting career.

Her most recent venture is jewelry-making for her brand Kizzmet Jewelry. She sells handmade jewelry pieces that her daughter often wears. She has a separate Instagram page for her jewelry brand that she shared on her page. Claire accompanied the post with a series of images of some of her exquisite pieces with the caption:

PERSONAL LIFE OF CLAIRE STOERMER

Claire Stoermer divorced her husband of eight years, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, in 2016. Kazembe reportedly met Claire in the 1990s and they had Zendaya, their only child together, in 1998. The couple only decided to tie the knot in 2008.

She eventually filed for divorce in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, her documents stated that she was not seeking spousal support from Kazembe. Despite their separation, Claire and Kazembe are co-parenting amicably.

The 58-year-old only has one child, Zendaya, to who she is very close. She has been supportive of her career from the beginning and is clearly very proud of her daughter’s achievements as she frequently posts about her on social media. The mother-daughter duo also sometimes goes to events together.

Claire Stoermer’s daughter Zendaya, full name Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, is a multi-talented actress and singer. She catapulted to stardom after featuring in “Euphoria” and winning an Emmy in 2020 for her role.

The 25-year-old is very close to her mother and often posts her images on social media. Claire adores her daughter and posted a sweet message on her Instagram in 2021 to celebrate Zendaya’s birthday.

She ended her message by saying:

“Just know that I am with you always, and I love you forever, always, and more. Happy birthday my beautiful sweet child! Love mommy.”

People in the comment section appreciated Claire for giving birth to such a fantastic daughter. “Thank you for her we appreciate you!!!” one person wrote.
