Fans of drama on the dance floor won’t have to wait long to find out if “Come Dance With Me” is must-see TV. As reported by Deadline, viewers can start watching the classic combos of polished dancers and tenderfeet try a new spin on this proven formula on Friday, April 15. An established reality series, “Undercover Boss,” will serve as its lead-in. The premiere is set to air at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+ subscribers will also have the option to stream it live or on demand.
According to a CBS press release (via Futon Critic), viewers will see 12 dancing duos learn a new style of choreography each week, so even the show’s experienced performers might find themselves challenged by being forced to step out of their comfort zone — a dancer who is only trained in jazz could struggle with learning a ballroom routine, and, on top of that, they will have to teach it to someone with zero dance experience!
One team will be eliminated from the competition each week. To determine who will be sent home, the pairs with the lowest scores will perform freestyle routines, and the judges will decide their fate. So, what exactly is the incentive to stick around until the end? A $100,000 prize, which isn’t nearly as much as the $1 million competitors can win on two other popular CBS reality series, “The Amazing Race” and “Survivor.”
