Jordan Peterson is back to criticize Elliot Page’s transition, even though Twitter banned him for calling the trans actor’s doctor a “criminal physician.” In a virtual interview, the author and former psychology professor brought up the fact that Page was shirtless in Esquire’s summer issue last month and said, “See, if Ellen Page hadn’t been showing off her new abs in a fashion magazine, I would have left her alone.” Peterson, who is 60 years old, didn’t like how the “Umbrella Academy” actor showed off his abs on the cover, saying that it would make kids think that they, too, are transgender.

On July 8, Peterson talked to Kyle Kulinski of a YouTube channel called “Secular Talk” and went into more detail about why Page is still the source of his anger. “Do you think she has changed the minds of one child? He kept calling Page, who was 35 at the time, by his old name and pronouns and calling him “thousand.”

But Kulinski didn’t seem to agree with what Peterson said in the interview about the effect Page has on kids. He said, “I think the trans community is a lot like the gay community was when it first became a big deal. Back then, people were like, ‘Oh, if we talk about it in magazines or anywhere else, we’re encouraging kids to go that way.’” He also said, “But the truth is that people have become who they are. They’re both gay. So I don’t think that’s what you want people to do.”

Peterson got angry, and it’s easy to see why, so he said, “No, it didn’t happen that way. All of you are wrong. “That’s wrong.” On Kyle’s podcast, the psychologist kept ranting about the actor. He said, “For every one person of that kind we might save, we doom a thousand more because of confusion and social contagion. When you add confusion to a group, you can often start a psychogenic epidemic. Most of the time, it affects teenage girls more than boys. It is absolutely true that we have sentenced thousands of children to painful, mutilating surgery and early sterility on the altar of our imagined morality and compassion.

Transphobic tweet gets Peterson banned

Peterson was banned from Twitter on June 22 after he tweeted that Page “had her breasts taken off by a criminal doctor.” The tweet was sent out on the same day that the third season of “The Umbrella Academy” came out on Netflix. Netflix added Page’s new life to the show and changed the name of his character, Vanya, to Viktor. Twitter said that Peterson’s tweet “violated Twitter’s hate speech rules” and flagged it. Elon Musk didn’t like the ban. He said that the platform had “gone way too far” in trying to silence different opinions.

Peterson oppose Canada’s C-16 bill

National Post said in 2017 that Peterson was against Bill C-16, which added transgender pronouns to Canada’s Human Rights Act. He said that he had looked into transgender issues and how they tend to make teenagers confused.
