Cristian Marcus Muñiz Is Marc Anthony’s Son – Facts from the Young Man’s Biography

Cristian Marcus Muñiz was introduced to the spotlight at a young age. While Cristian didn’t follow in his famous parents’ footsteps, he is pursuing a career in arts and design.

Cristian is the oldest son of Grammy award winner Marc Anthony and actress/model Dayanara Torres Delgado. He is now 22 years and living the life of an art student and a star’s child.

Cristian Marcus Muñiz Is Marc Anthony’s First Biological Son

Cristian was born on February 5, 2001, to singer Marc and his then-wife Torres. Marc met Torres in 1998 through friends while hanging out at a Puerto Rican nightclub. They soon began dating before tying the knot in May 2000 and welcomed their first child, Cristian, a year later.

At the time, Marc Anthony was 32 while Torres was 26. Cristan’s parents have careers in the entertainment industry. While Marc is a singer and songwriter, Torres is a Puerto Rican actress, writer, singer, model, and beauty queen who won Miss Universe in 1993.

Cristian left the family home in L.A. to study Art and Design in New York.

While Marc and Torres’ marriage appeared picture-perfect publicly, their life behind closed doors proved otherwise. The pair were often rumored to have a troubled marriage despite having two children—their second child Ryan Anthony Muniz was born on August 16, 2003.

According to reports, Cristian’s parents had briefly separated while married but renewed their vows in December 2002 but finally called it quits in a bitter divorce. After the pair finalized their divorce, Marc moved on in less than a week and married singer Jennifer Lopez on June 5, 2004.

After the divorce, Cristian and his brother stayed with their mother in Miami. In Torres’ biography, “Married to Me: How Committing to Myself Led to Triumph After Divorce,” she revealed how her sons were there in her darkest moments.

Torres said they supported her and helped her heal from her divorce. They had dinners with her and went on dates. Even though Cristian’s parents went their separate ways, they are still on good terms. In an interview, Torres spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband and said:

“My relationship with Marc is perfect. He is a great father to the kids. They adore him, and we get along very well.”

Despite Marc’s divorce from Torres, he has been a present father to his children and has maintained a close bond with them. Occasionally, he takes his sons to red-carpet events.

Cristian Marcus Muñiz has many siblings. His father has six children from three different women and is currently expecting another child with Paraguayan fashion model Nadia Ferreira.

Marcus became a dad for the first time in June 1994 when he welcomed daughter Ariana Anthony with his then-partner Debbie Rosado. In 1995, the pair welcomed their son, Chase. Besides sharing two children with Torres, Marc also shares twins Max and Emme Maribel Muñiz with Lopez.

Cristian has been his mother’s strongest pillar over the years. Besides supporting his mom in healing from her divorce, he came through in 2019 when she was diagnosed with Melanoma, a severe type of skin cancer. Though she finished her treatment in March 2022, Torres still uses her platform to spread awareness about the disease.

When Covid-19 hit, Cristian was in self-isolation with his mom and brother. His mom shared a clip on how she dealt with her sons whenever they avoided doing their chores.

Now Cristian Marcus Muñiz is a college student. Cristian left the family home in L.A. to study Art and Design in New York. He has a girlfriend named Kylie, and she shares his interests.

They even adopted a dog named Nini. The lovebirds display their cute romance through their Instagram posts. Torres spoke about what a lovely girl Kylie is. She said Kylie is the kind of girlfriend she always hoped for for her son.
