Lillard’s chest boasts a big Oakland tree with a heart at its roots. The basketball player proudly shared his new tattoo on Instagram in June 2013, calling it the heart of the city. Admittedly, getting inked was a painful process but worth it. Lillard said:

“The pattern right here is the Oakland tree. If you see all the city limit signs, you’ll see this tree all over the city. The root of the tree is a heart.”

As an Oakland native, Lillard went beyond getting a tattoo and altered the Warriors’ jersey, placing the tree where the iconic Golden State bridge originally was.

Damian Lillard’s the Bible’s Scripture Arm Tattoo

Lillard’s arm was also inked with a big bible scripture from Psalm 37 during his freshman year in college. At that time, Lillard resonated with the bible verse after not getting recruited and attending a small college.

According to Heavy, the tattoo cites, “urgers believers to pay no mind to ‘evildoers’ and ‘cultivate faithfulness’ and the ‘desires of your heart’ will come to fruition.”

Besides the bible scripture, Lillard has a full-sleeve tattoo of his family on his arm, including the people who raised him to be the person he is today. During an interview, Lillard noted that it felt right to get the faces of his grandfather, father, and uncle inked. He also has his mom’s face tattoo.

On the top of one arm, Lillard has a logo with the letters L and B in red and black ink. According to the sports superstar, the logo stands for the Lillard Brothers, which his brother also has. The LB logo was the first tattoo Lillard got at age 18.

“My mom would never let me get tattoos,” he said. “I always wanted to get a tattoo, but she never let me do it.” However, Lillard’s mom allowed him to do as he pleased after graduating from high school, so when he entered college, he got inked.

Besides faces, Lillard also has his mom’s and sister’s names on his arms. As getting inked is a lifetime commitment, Lillard’s dedication and love for his family are evident through his actions.

As an Oakland Raiders fan, Lillard got a Raiders tattoo on his inner arm. During an interview, he shared about life growing up near the stadium. He said:

“[I will] always be a Raiders fan.”

To fill in the blank spaces on his arm, Lillard had stars and clouds inked by a professional. He paid tribute to his sport with a big basketball tattoo on the back of his arm with banners that read “Forever Blessed.”

His other tattoos include a “certified fly badge” on his bicep and a “jungle boy” near his right elbow. He also has a ribbon, badge, pocket watch, and heartbeat tattoo.
