Birth of Darby Rudd

Darby was born in 2010 to parents Paul and his wife, Julie Yeager. While Darby’s father is a prominent actor in Hollywood, the young girl’s mother has established herself as a successful producer and screenwriter.

The power couple met in New York City in the early 1990s. Soon after the success of “Clueless,” the movie’s leading man went looking for a publicist and ended up in the office of the woman who would become his wife.

According to the renowned actor, Darby’s mother was the first person he met in New York. He took her out for lunch a few days later, marking the beginning of the romance.

When describing the publicist, the heartthrob actor said that there was “maturity” in the way she spoke, and that was one of the things that drew him to her. Ultimately, the two married in a low-key, private ceremony in 2003.

Darby’s father was well-known for his recurring role on the sitcom “Friends.” In a 2021 interview with People, the veteran actor found it amusing that Darby watched the TV show.

He played Mike Hannigan, the husband of Phoebe Buffay, played by actress Lisa Kudrow. He admitted that he had not watched the numerous episodes of the critically acclaimed sitcom again.

The TV star said he would eventually remember some “Friends” episodes whenever his daughter discussed the show with him. The charming actor continued by saying:

“I’m far enough away from some things now that I can allow myself to be a little nostalgic about it. But then she’ll just be like, ‘Well, you’re not Joey.'”

Besides him and Kudrow, other equally-famous stars in the series were Jennifer Anniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry.

Darby Loves “Ant-Man” Movie Where Her Father Plays Parent of Another Girl

Just as much as Darby loved watching “Friends” with her dad, the adorable girl loved watching the popular Marvel movie “Ant-Man,” starring the People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive.”

Darby enjoyed the superhero film in which the main character, Scott Lang, and his daughter, Cassie, had a close relationship, according to the Marvel star.

The hunky actor did admit, however, that he initially thought Darby would find it strange that he played a dad to his on-screen child. His daughter was still young when he filmed the movie.

After overthinking the situation, he was relieved to learn that Darby had the opposite reaction, and she didn’t think it was an issue. The proud father said he would tell Darby she was his “real Cassie.”

Darby Has an Older Brother

Darby is not an only child; she has a handsome older brother born in 2006. Her brother’s name is Jack Sullivan, and he has a remarkable resemblance to Paul Rudd.

In addition to inheriting his father’s good looks, Jack shares his dad’s passion for football. In 2020, the father-son team flew to Miami, Florida, to watch the Super Bowl and bond over their fascination with the sport.

Jack appears to have inherited his father’s dry sense of humor. When the young man learned that his father was cast in the role of Ant-Man, he joked with his father about how excited he was to see how “stupid” the film would be.
