David Dastmalchian’s Wife and Mother of His Kids Is Artist Evelyn Leigh

David Dastmalchian’s wife is Evelyn Leigh, with whom he welcomed two children. The pair started their life together with nothing and have been married for almost a decade.

David Dastmalchian is a film and stage star who has made a name for himself. As his career flourishes, he also has a family he is proud of and sometimes shares about them on his social media. The actor’s marriage to Evelyn Leigh did not have a rosy beginning, as he once revealed they started their lives together without a dime.

Today, he is proud that his wife has impacted his life. He shared that his spouse has a way of calming him down to cherish every moment as he usually gets anxious, especially when landing new gigs and wondering when the next opportunity will present itself.

David Dastmalchian, who has battled drug addiction and depression, is an actor and writer from Kansas. He moved to Chicago, Illinois, to study acting at The Theatre School, DePaul University.

The actor who has starred with Margot Robbie, John Cena, Pete Davidson, Idris Elba, and Nathan Fillion recently starred in “The Boogeyman,” alongside Sophie Thatcher and “Oppenheimer,” with Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Florence Pugh.

Meanwhile, his wife, Evelyn Leigh, is an actress and an art director. She is best known for “Shortcake” and “All Creatures Here Below.” Leigh has an Instagram account with over 7,000 followers dedicated to her work under The Painted Line. In the bio, she describes herself as a “Muralist.”

Evelyn Leigh and her famous husband, David Dastmalchian, started their life together from humble beginnings. The lovebirds wed on August 23, 2013, and have been married for nine years.

When the duo marked their wedding anniversary in August 2022, the actor paid tribute to his spouse alongside a throwback picture of them holding hands on a pier.

“9 years ago we went to the court house at Daley Plaza in Chicago & got married. We had no money, no idea what we were doing & so much love we could fuel a rocket to the moon. And that’s what we’ve been doing ever since,” he captioned the post.

During an August 2021 interview, Dastmalchian spoke lovingly of his wife, sharing how she keeps him going when he constantly worries about landing the next role in showbiz.

The actor said he discovered the importance of giving himself credit when accomplishing a goal. He divulged how Leigh plays a role in his way of thinking now:

“She creates time for us to celebrate our accomplishments in a way that makes me feel really good about myself.”

In a September 2018 Instagram post, Dastmalchian gushed about Leigh alongside a selfie of her, writing that she is his “best friend” while adding:

“She is relentless in her journey to be the best version of herself as a person, mother, business owner & artist. Growth & change and fighting for yourself is hard but she does it every day, inspiring me.”

In February 2023, Dastmalchian posted snaps of him and his significant other at a red-carpet event for the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards. He wrote that Leigh is always there for him.

The Pennsylvania native paid a birthday tribute to his love on May 5, 2023, calling her his “hero” in a post featuring several shots of the couple and their friends.

Dastmalchian also honored his wife in a Mother’s Day post, penning, “thanks for being so awesome, Eve. our kids are so lucky they get to be your kids, even if their handmade mother’s day cards were just instructions for things they want you to do for them…”

The couple has a son and a daughter, Arlo and Pennie. The pair have attended public events with their kids in the past. They were at the premiere of “Teen Titan’s Go! To The Movies!” in July 2018 with their son Arlo.

Three years later, the duo’s son and daughter accompanied them to the “Sing 2” premiere in December 2021. Leigh and Dastmalchian have also shown off their kids on their social media.

In July 2018, the mother of two posted a snapshot of Pennie and Arlo “Playing on the #SwanSteps,” where she does her artwork, the proud mother wrote on her page.

A year later, in May 2019, Leigh shared another shot of the siblings posing against her art wall in Silverlake while wearing coordinated blue outfits. Three years later, in March 2022, the father of two uploaded a picture of his beaming daughter Pennie on his Instagram and captioned it, “Pink pop & purple haze.”

Dastmalchian celebrated his son’s eighth birthday in an April post that same year and described him as the “coolest, kindest, most marvelous little dude.”

Two months later, in June, the proud dad also marked his daughter’s birthday with a picture of her eating ice cream. “HBD, P! Love you to the stars & back,” he wrote.

Dastmalchian also paid a heartfelt appreciation post to his son Arlo in October of that year, alongside a selfie of the father and son duo. “[…] Man… God truly blessed me when I got chosen to be this kid’s dad,” he penned.

The doting father posted an edited picture of him and his children at the Mystic Museum and captioned it, “Family Xmas shopping for mommy at @mystic_museum_oddities.”
