Before Harry Styles joined the cast of “Don’t Worry Darling,” Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde seemed to be on excellent terms. “Olivia Wilde is my idol and allowed me to be a part of this fecking incredible cast. Shia?!? Chris?!?” Pugh wrote on Instagram in April 2020. Two years later, one of her followers wrote in the comments section, “The fact that u were so excited and now it’s just crickets … something must’ve gone so wrong.”
An insider spoke to Page Six about why working with Wilde purportedly left a bad taste in Pugh’s mouth. “I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason [Sudeikis] when she first hooked up with Harry,” the insider claimed. Us Weekly spoke to sources who told conflicting stories about whether Styles had anything to do with Sudeikis and Wilde calling off their engagement, but Sudeikis didn’t assign blame to the singer when he spoke about the split to GQ, saying instead he wasn’t certain why it happened.
Pugh’s boyfriend, Zach Braff, directed Sudeikis in an episode of “Ted Lasso,” and Pugh appears to be a fan of Wilde’s ex — a TikTok user shared a screenshot of Pugh openly rooting for Sudeikis to win a Golden Globe on her Instagram Story. “Go Jason Go!!!” she wrote.
