Director of Nursing Home Takes Pretty Old Lady to His Office Every Night, Other Women Are Jealous — Story of the Day

Every night, a nursing home director takes a pretty older woman to his office, raising suspicions and jealousy among the other female residents. One night, someone reports him to the cops, and when they arrive, they discover something shocking.

No one at the Oakwood Nursing Home could disagree that if anyone had beaten the consequences of aging, it was 76-year-old Margaret. She was undoubtedly the most beautiful lady at the institution, which made the nursing home’s janitor, 77-year-old Jeffrey’s heart flutter for her.

Jeffrey had started working at the nursing home a year ago and knew he was in love the instant he saw Margaret. One day, he was sweeping the floors outside Margaret’s room when she unexpectedly walked out and said hello.

Jeffrey froze. “Good – Good morning,” he managed to say at the end, his cheeks flushing. He hadn’t been able to muster the courage to express his feelings, but he knew he would do it one day.

“Someday, I will tell her,” he always thought and blushed whenever he saw her.

But Jeffrey’s heart broke when he started working night shifts. He noticed that every night after dinner, Margaret would disappear into the director’s office for long hours, and when she’d come out, she’d be blushing and glancing at herself in a small mirror she always carried.

Soon, all the other ladies at the nursing home began gossiping that Margaret had an affair with the director, Mr. Collins.

“Did you happen to see her last night?” Jeffrey overheard a group of women while he was mopping the floors. “She was blushing and chirping around like a little girl. When I asked her why she was so happy, she said, ‘Mr. Collins makes me feel so young and beautiful! Oh, he’s a gem!'”

“You know, when Margaret didn’t go to his office one day, he went around looking for her,” another head chimed in. “I believe something is brewing behind closed doors. I’m jealous of her. He is attracted to her because of her looks….”

“But isn’t Mr. Collins 20 years younger than her? Oh dear, are they really together? What about Mr. Collins’s wife?” someone else said.

“There’s nothing suspicious going on here, officer!” he exclaimed angrily. “Who reported on me?”

Hearing such things about the woman he loved dearly crushed Jeffrey’s heart. He was enraged and determined to find out if Mr. Collins had an affair with Margaret.

So that night, when he saw Margaret going to Mr. Collins’s office, he followed her. Once she was inside, he looked around to ensure nobody noticed him and stopped right outside the office.

Jeffrey pressed his ear to the door, trying to eavesdrop on what was happening inside. But he couldn’t hear anything. At that point, he frowned and pulled out his phone from his pocket. “Tonight, Mr. Collins’s secret has to be out! Enough already!” he told himself as he dialed 911.

When a dispatcher answered his call, he said, “I’m calling to report a suspicious activity. It’s urgent. I can’t give you all the details immediately, but you need to hurry up!” He gave the address and hung up, asking them to dispatch a unit to the nursing home immediately.

A few moments later, a team of cops arrived at the scene. “Jeffrey Richards, you reported an incident?” a cop inquired as they met outside the nursing facility.

“Yes, that’s me. This way, please,” he replied, leading them inside.

Once they were outside Mr. Collins’s office, the lead cop, Officer Johnson, knocked on the door. “Police here! Please open the door!”

After a few knocks, Mr. Collins opened the door. “What are the police doing here? What’s the matter?” he asked, confused.

When Jeffrey peeked over Mr. Collins’ shoulders and into his office, he noticed Margaret resting on the couch with a facial mask.

“A suspicious activity was reported to us. What exactly is going on here?” Officer Johnson inquired.

Mr. Collins frowned. “There’s nothing suspicious going on here, officer!” he exclaimed angrily. “Who reported on me?”

“Oh dear, what’s happening…I was just trying on Mr. Collins’s beauty products, officer,” Margaret interjected as she approached the door.

“What?” The officer was bewildered.

“He and his wife are planning to open a beauty parlor,” Margaret explained, “and they have planned to donate the proceeds to the nursing home. His skin care products are designed for older women. Mr. Collins insisted I be his first client! You see, officer, I am the most charming lady here, after all….” she added, smiling.

As Margaret said that, Jeffrey regretted what he’d done, and Officer Johnson was fuming in rage. “Is this all a joke? You think you guys can play around with the police?”

“Oh no, I am so sorry….” Jeffrey apologized. “I shouldn’t have done this. I was worried about Margaret because I like her, and those ladies said inappropriate things….”

Jeffrey spilled everything about how much he loved Margaret and how he wanted to propose to her. He said he was misguided by rumors from other women and ended up reporting the incident out of insecurity.

While what Jeffrey had done was wrong, Mr. Collins forgave him. “And you thought Magaret and I had an affair?” he laughed. “I’m sorry, officers. Please head home safely. I apologize on behalf of my staff.”

“You better avoid making such calls in the future. Got it?” the officers warned Jeffrey before they left.

When everyone was gone, Mr. Collins patted Jeffrey’s shoulder and said, “I feel bad that you didn’t talk to me about it before reporting the incident, Jeffrey, but because you’ve been a good employee, I’ll let you slide. Be careful in the future.”

“Sorry, sorry again….” he apologized as Mr. Collins left.

Margaret had never felt the same way about Jeffrey as he did about her, but something clicked in her heart that day, and she began spending time with him at the nursing home. With time, she realized he was a complete contrast to her! He was shy, she was extroverted, and the extreme opposites gradually became attracted to one other.

Meanwhile, Mr. Collins’ business was thriving, he made generous donations to the nursing home, and the face of his business was none other than the lovely Margaret!

One day, Margaret finally proposed to Jeffrey for marriage. Both shocked and delighted at the proposal, Jeffery couldn’t contain his emotions. “YES! I WILL! I WILL!” he replied in tears and hugged her.

Their wedding was organized at the nursing home, and when Jeffrey and Margaret exchanged the I do’s, the tears of the attendees and their applause didn’t stop.
