Speculation about Megan Suri’s boyfriend or partner has been met without a response from the actress to satisfy fans, but her electric chemistry with a co-star has kept the rumor mill going.

Megan Suri’s first movie was in the A-list ensemble “Valentine’s Day” in 2010, and she slowly built on that momentum with guest-starring roles in “Bones,” “Modern Family,” “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Fresh Off The Boat.”

The latter was meant to be a backdoor pilot of a show about an Indian-American immigrant family. The show did not materialize, but she got a star-making part in “Never Have I Ever.” Her character’s romantic storyline ignited an interest in her personal life.

Megan’s Character in ‘Never Have I Ever’ Experiences a Heartbreak and Discovers New Love

“Never Have I Ever” season one ends with Devi Vishwakumar (played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) having her pick of two handsome boys.

In the second season, boy troubles momentarily seem insignificant compared to her new hurdle to obtain high school popularity, the transfer of another Indian American student, Aneesa, portrayed by Suri.

The strength of the storytelling in the teen drama created by Lang Fisher and Mindy Kaling means that the character of Aneesa is not regulated to act simply as the foil to the show’s protagonist.

The audience and Devi get to know Aneesa as the antithesis of the nerdy stereotype many first or second-generation American children of immigrant parents are frequently regulated to in the media.

She is cool, laidback, and not set on stealing Devi’s thunder. As the two become friends, Aneesa connects with two critical people in Devi’s world over two seasons.

First, she gets close with the overachiever’s nemesis and sometime love interest, Ben Gross (played by Jaren Lewison). Aneesa and Ben begin dating, but it is clear that the latter still has a thing for Devi.

An unexpected twist in Aneesa’s character arc springs from a dark moment for the teenager in the third season. Fabiola, one of Devi’s best friends portrayed by Lee Rodriguez, walks in on Aneesa crying in the school bathroom.

The connection between Aneesa and Fabiola looks so authentic.

A complimentary recap of her performance in a soccer match from Fabiola leads to a kiss initiated by Aneesa. This changes the way she views her toxic relationship with Ben. He does not even try to understand her, while Fabiola does.

Aneesa dumps him for belittling her and the fact that they do not have that much in common. Suri enjoyed that her character got justice after the way she was poorly treated, as she explained:

“I did not like the way that Ben was pining for Davey after he took Aneesa— his girlfriend, might I add— to the dance, so I’m really, really stoked that the writers gave her a good send-off in that way.”

The chemistry between Aneesa and Fabiola is evident from that first kiss and is the start of a beautiful, brief fling. Suri paraphrases from one of her favorite movies, the Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and Mike Myers-led animation “Shrek,” to explain her character, “I really, truly think that Aneesa is an onion with many layers.”

Megan Suri Not Dating ‘Never Have I Ever’ Co-Star and Keeps Love Life Private

The connection between Aneesa and Fabiola looks so authentic that some viewers forget that the actresses portraying those characters were not speaking from the heart but from a script provided by a writers’ room.

The detail about who Megan Suri is dating has not been discussed publically by the Californian-born star or her representation. There is also no evidence on her social media that she is in any form of romantic relationship with her on-screen love interest or anyone else.

As for Lee’s relationship status, she also looks to be unattached at present. In mid-August 2022, Suri shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from the studio lot. Lee features in many of the snaps, but there does not look to be anything more than friendship between the two women.

Megan Suri Talked about Her Character’s Impact on Her

There are many lessons that Suri, then in her early twenties, took from playing a 16-year-old high schooler. She told Los Angeles Confidential in August 2022:

“The greatest takeaway, and I’ve said this before, is through Aneesa, I’ve learned that confidence, number one, is cool. And two, confidence and kindness go hand in hand. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.”

The actress who wrote an enthusiastic diary entry after booking her first gig at eight has been around the industry, but joining the cast of a successful Netflix show has exposed her to the world of “glam and style” and press junkets.

The filming wrapped in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2022 but is still in post-production as of May 2022. Suri stars opposite “ER” and “Bend it Like Beckham” star Parminder Nagra, Emjay Anthony, and Lachlan Watson.

The plot of the original manuscript follows Camille Collins, who enjoys kissing her boyfriend, Dylan but does not want to take it further. When Dylan dumps her and spreads a rumor around school that she is a lousy kisser, she and her two best friends compile a ‘kiss list’ to prove her ex wrong.
