Phil Dunster Was Once Linked to His ‘Ted Lasso’ Co-star Juno Temple

Dunster and Temple made waves after their on-screen counterparts, Tartt and Keeley Jones, respectively, became an item. When the pair appeared together at a Neiman Marcus party in Hollywood, fans began wondering whether Dunster’s real life was starting to reflect that of his character.

The actor posted three images of him and his beloved Heydon to celebrate five years together.

Many were quick to point out that the two could only be attending as friends, since Temple was dating Michael Szymanski at the time. It was rumored that Phil Dunster was dating someone as well. It turned out he was in a relationship with filmmaker Eleanor Heydon.

Phil Dunster Has Been Dating Actress and Filmmaker Ellie Heydon for More than 5 Years

Like his co-star Brett Goldstein, Dunster doesn’t have a wife but has been dating Heydon for five years now. Heydon is most famous for starring in the 2017 TV show “Harlots,” but has appeared in “Divertimento” and “The Color of Spring” as well.

That said, he admits that the prospect of writing and directing his own work is a daunting one.

Dunster often shares photos of his girlfriend on his Instagram, and he once revealed Heydon caught him playing as his character, Jamie Tartt, on FIFA 23. He recalled the moment with glee, commenting with a smile that it was “rather embarrassing.”

The actor posted three images of him and his beloved Heydon to celebrate five years together in November 2022. The photos showed them going for a hike, capturing a picturesque mountain view. The last snapshot showed Heydon posing with different dishes while wearing a hair net.

Phil Dunster Is about to Make His Directorial Debut

Besides working on the hit show “Ted Lasso” and spending time with his beloved girlfriend, Dunster has recently set his sights on a new endeavor. After “Ted Lasso’s” second season ended, the actor had much more time on his hands. Not only that, but he feels the show has taught him a lot about filmmaking. He commented:

“I love acting and acting will always be my first love. But I also really have watched people making things, watched these amazing directors come in on ‘Ted Lasso’ and it sort of felt like it’s a really great way to be able to tell a story.”

That said, he admits that the prospect of writing and directing his own work is a daunting one. Nonetheless, Dunster is seizing the opportunity to broaden his horizons with both hands, and he has high hopes for his directorial debut after co-starring with Temple. He described it as something akin to “500 Days of Summer,” “Uncut Gems,” and “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
