Former pro dancer and judge Derek Hough jumped on Instagram to share his excitement about the “Dancing with the Stars” move to Disney+. “DWTS has always been a trail blazer NEW CHAPTER,” he wrote. Artem Chigvintsev mentioned “DWTS” would be a pioneer in live streaming for the platform and told Us Weekly, “It’s great to be a part of Disney family. It’s always a good time.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba shared on her Instagram Stories (via Us Weekly), “This is very exciting. Disney Plus, here we come. Let’s go!!!” She also mentioned “DWTS” being a trailblazer, suggesting nobody could have anticipated the show’s success “way back when.”

Professional dancer Cheryl Burke also teased a cool possibility: “Just imagine what Disney Night on ‘DWTS’ will look like now?!” Fellow pro Gleb Savchenko said he was chomping at the bit for Season 31 to get going, while Keo Motsepe noted “DWTS” is “always breaking barriers.” He added, “I am so proud the show is going on another journey!”

Of course, not everyone is happy with the change. “I’m not gonna get ANOTHER streaming service. I can’t,” one fan lamented on Twitter, while someone else agreed about the money issue, reasoning, “The show is out of date and I lost interest a while ago.”
