Emily Evelyn Chase Devotes Her Life to Environmental Care – Facts about Chevy Chase’s Daughter

Emily Evelyn Chase is the daughter of famous comedian and actor Chevy Chase and his third wife, Jayni Chase. She is a proud environmentalist.

Turning 35 this year, Emily is the youngest of the Chase brood, which includes one son and three daughters. There is not much information available about her childhood. However, her professional life is well documented on her LinkedIn page.

Although she did not follow in her father’s footsteps like her older sister, she maintained a good relationship with her parents. The trio even recently lived together under one roof and enjoyed their stay.

Emily Evelyn Chase Is the Youngest Child in the Family

Emily was born on September 29, 1988, making her the youngest of Chevy’s four children. Her mother, Jayni, wedded her father on June 19, 1982, and they have two other daughters.

The oldest, Cydney Cathalene, was born a year after their wedding on January 4, 1983. Caley is the middle child and was born on January 19, 1985. She followed in her father’s footsteps by becoming an actor and writer. She is credited with 13 films and television series, including “Hotel Hell Vacation,” starring her father and Beverly D’Angelo.

Very little is publicly known about Emily’s childhood except for what she said on her Instagram. One of her posts revealed that she played the violin when she was younger. Also, on one occasion, she got lost while skiing with her older sisters, who were going too fast.

Her LinkedIn shows that she attended The Lawrenceville School from 2003 to 2007 before spending seven years at Columbia University. The whole time she was at Columbia, she also studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at Barnard College. She finished at both institutions in 2014.

Before she began her political science degree, Emily had already gotten some experience working in an administrative environment. In 2006, she interned at the Natural Resources Defense Council for three months. The following year, she interned at Rolling Stone Magazine for a year and three months.

She continued to find more work while studying at University and, in 2011, worked as an assistant to auction specialists at CharityBuzz. However, Emily got her first full-time job after graduating college. In 2014, she gained employment at Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, where she worked for over four years.

She left the center in October 2018 and started working at the National Audubon Society. The organization aims to protect birds and the places they need throughout the Americas. They devote much time to science, education, advocacy, and on-the-ground conservation. She is currently the director of development.

Emily is also interested in volunteer work. In 2019, she became a proud Give A Note Foundation board member and shared her joy on Instagram. The environmentalist is also friends with Dr. Tom Lovejoy, who she calls the doctor of Biodiversity.

Emily Is on Good Terms with Her Parents & Happy in Her Personal Life

Emily maintains a good relationship with her parents, Jayni and Chevy Chase. In 2018, the father-daughter combination bought a condo together before Emily sold it in 2022. She even lived with them in the same house for over eight months during the Covid-19 pandemic.

While celebrating Chevy’s birthday in 2020, Emily said she was happy to spend time with them and jokingly added that she was surprised by the number of eggs her father consumes. Still, she stressed that she wouldn’t have it any other way, especially during the tough times of that era.

In May 2021, Emily shared a video of helping her father nurse his injured knee. The funny footage shows Chevy receiving physical therapy from his daughter and going through various emotions, including crying in pain and singing a song in enjoyment.

Emily has a wonderful personal life, good relations with her family, and a partner she calls her best friend. She is currently in a relationship with Alex, a sports specialist in the United States Army based at West Point. Although he is about five years younger than her, the pair seem to have a brilliant relationship.
