Kate’s baby fever seems to surface each time she is around babies, but she knows that her husband would “kill” her if they ever welcomed another baby in addition to their three kids. She recently proved that her feelings about having another child had not waned when she joined her hubby on a visit to Cambridge.

In February, William’s wife, Kate, revealed how much her husband worries about her working close to newborns because she always returns home with an urge to have another one.

The couple are already parents to Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis, but that has not stopped her from getting broody around newborns or wanting one for herself.

Kate made the revelation during a conversation with parents and their babies while they were visiting Copenhagen’s Children’s Museum. Thanks to her role as a royal, Kate mingles with babies and kids, but she would not have it any other way as the early year kids have been one of her biggest focuses in the past years.

She has always been very vocal about how she feels about a fourth child, but her husband seems to have firmly put his feet down and said “no.” In January, when they visited Lancashire, the Duke joked when he noticed that Kate had a baby in her arms.

They had been on a visit to Church on the street of Burnley when William looked at the baby in her arms and said, “don’t give her any ideas,” before turning to Kate and saying, “You can’t take her with you.”

In May, the pair visited Scotland, and when they stopped by St. John’s Primary School. The kids were taught about empathy by observing an infant.

As soon as he realized a baby was in the picture, William quickly joked that they needed to get his wife out of the building before she became broody again. Nobody took him seriously, but by the end of their visit, Kate was holding the 10-month-old Saul in her lap as they skimmed through a book.

While visiting Bradford with William in 2020, Kate spoke about the possibility of them expanding their family once more while chatting with a royal fan named Josh Macpalce. He had revealed that he sent cards following the birth of her three kids, and she had told him that it was doubtful he would have to send one more — all because of her husband. She said:

“I don’t think William wants any more.”

On the topic of having more kids, Richard Palmer admitted that even though she sometimes gets broody, he’s heard her several times confess that “I think William would kill me if we had another one.”

FANS NOTICE WILLIAM’S REACTION TO KATE HOLDING A BABY

Last week, the Cambridges visited Cambridge, and at the Newmarket Racecourse, Kate again found herself holding yet another baby. Later, a video that captured the moment was shared, revealing how enamored Kate was by the youngster in her arms.

Others may try to hide their dissatisfaction from members of the public, but Stanton, the “human lie detector,” has said that Kate is always “open and transparent.”

In it, she was heard saying, “I love babies,” while her husband stood nearby watching. The four-month-old child named Norah belonged to Marianne Provoost, whom Kate had approached to ask if she could hold her child.

While everyone gushed over how happy Kate looked, William was seen trying to end the interaction. At first, he gently tapped her on the arm, saying it was time they left; however, she was in no rush to leave, and she made sure to take her time before she handed the child back to her mother.

When the video reached Twitter, users gushed over how cute the interaction between William and Kate was. For some reason, they all seemed to find the Duke’s nervousness amusing and said as much. One fan wrote:

“Aw so cute, and look at William desperately telling Catherine it’s time to go.”

The sentiment was echoed by another who wrote: “Catherine loves babies. It’s making William a little nervous. He’s nervous with 3. Another one might tip him over the edge.”

KATE HAS MATURED SINCE BECOMING A MOTHER

Despite her brooding, which comes and goes during her interaction with children, Kate has matured over the number of years she has spent as a mother.

Behavioral expert Darren Stanton, who analyzed how the Duchess’ maternal side has evolved in recent years, has argued that her body language has matured since she had her first child.

According to him, the most glaring indication of this is how hands-on she is about her parenting compared to royal mothers like the Queen and Princess Anne.

They would usually leave the care of their kids to the royal chaperones while out on a public engagement, but Kate has been known to keep her kids with her — preferring to hold their hands as they attended the engagements.

Stanton, a former police officer with a degree in psychology, believes that her body language speaks positively of her rapport with her kids while making her look more relatable as a parent.

She crouches down to their level to speak to them, which Stanton describes as a nurturing and protective emotion. However, that’s not all.

Unlike some other royals who would prefer not to be seen in public making faces at their erring kids, Kate has always been known to chastise her children whenever they are caught making mistakes, even when they are out in public.

Others may try to hide their dissatisfaction from public members, but Stanton, the “human lie detector,” has said that Kate is always “open and transparent.” Stanton also said:

“She seems happy to be seen as a relatable mum, dealing with all things parents would usually deal with while raising three young children – what you see is what you get with her.”

There is no doubt that Kate is a great mom, and William is the perfect father. Perhaps, it is what makes it bittersweet that the Duke has chosen to keep the status quo at three kids.
