Taking to her Instagram account, the actress noted how The Closet Files had “knocked” her look “out of the park.” The star, then 58, revealed that she’d pulled out all the stops for her fans.

She won that year’s female television star award at the event and gave a heartfelt acceptance speech. Hargitay noted how the accolade was an “unbelievable honor” because she had a unique and different connection with her fans, adding:

“It’s such a deep and intimate and personal connection because we all carry so much. Thank you for this.”

The actress, who played the role of Captain Olivia Benson on SVU, said she loved the award because of the two words in it. The star shared how the word “People” signified persons from all different ethnicities, genders, origins, and identities.

The second and more critical word, “Choice,” made her want to celebrate everyone’s abilities and willingness to choose compassion, kindness, and courage and to learn and listen to build a bridge between their divides and differences.

What Did Kathy Hilton Do?

As Hargitay spoke proudly about her accolade, one of the people who presented her with the award stood by her side in full view of the cameras. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH)” Kathy Hilton didn’t just stand respectfully and listen with the rest of the people; she decided that was the moment to touch up her makeup!
