Stephanie was in an 11-year-old Range Rover, with her mother at the wheel, traveling from their country house back to their palace in Monaco when Kelly lost control of the vehicle on a hairpin turn.

The vehicle dropped into a ravine over a hundred feet below the turn. Stephanie survived but suffered injuries like broken ribs, cervical fractures, and a fractured collarbone.

Kelly was less fortunate, and doctors placed her on life support shortly after the accident. However, the day after the accident, the machines were turned off as Kelly lost her life, and fans mourned. She was only 52 then.

A postmortem report confirmed that Kelly had suffered a significant brain hemorrhage, which caused her to look in control of the vehicle. Stephanie has talked about the accident from time to time since it happened.

Stephanie, who was 17 then, confirmed that she had not been driving; in fact, she and her mother had been thrown around inside the car, and she climbed out the only door that would still open, which was the driver’s.

Because she exited on the driver’s side, there were rumors that it was her that was driving and caused the accident. Stephanie has hoped her family would come to her defense for many years, but they have not. Now, she says:

“I just want to say, ‘Stop! Let me raise my children in tranquility and go forward with my own life in serenity.'”

Fans immediately noticed the resemblance to her grandmother, with one calling her a “class act” and another gushing:

Camille shared another photo carousel on April 24, 2023. This time, it showed her doing many different things in Amsterdam. Fans once again remarked that she was gorgeous and looked like her grandmother.
