The Sussexes have returned to the US after their short trip to the UK for the jubilee celebrations. A lot happened over the couple of days they spent in the UK, and now an expert is saying that Harry looked like he missed his old life while they attended the Jubilee. Here’s the dish.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stepped back as active members of the royal family in January 2020, and that decision led to trouble within the institution.

It was not a decision they took lightly, and in 2021, Harry opened up about their exit from London to TV host James Corden in a rare one-on-one interview. It had to do with the British press and how they were allegedly “destroying” his mental health.

He believed they created a toxic environment for his family to grow in, and one day, he decided to leave with his family as a husband and father. It was the only foolproof way to get away, but it led to a crisis within the royal family.

Many would argue that they needed to leave to be happy regardless of the strife that followed. Harry’s life in the UK had been on a slow decline.

He lost his mom at a young age but was hardly allowed to mourn her death, so he turned to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. At 17, he was sent to rehab.

He grew out of that phase, but he faced new challenges when he got older and married. Then, between ages 28 and 32, he was stalked by the press, and it would freak him out so much he would break into sweats at the sight of a camera.

Meghan was also greatly affected by the toxicity she had to endure, and when she tried to ask for help, she was ignored because mental problems were not good for the “institution.” Harry stood by her and tried to get help for her, but it was all to no avail.

Eventually, Meghan started having suicidal thoughts and may have even done the unthinkable if she had not realized that it meant Harry would be losing yet another important woman in his life to tragic incidences.

The thought kept her persevering until they were able to do something about their predicament, and since they have been in the US, the two have sought out as much professional help as they want, and it has had a positive effect on their lives.

Nobody, not even the royal family, saw their exit coming even though they had both been truthful about how unhappy they were as royals.

They decided to have a taste of relatively normal life after taking a sabbatical from their role as royals.

Fans expected a sign of camaraderie between Harry and William since they seemed to be bonding once more after feuding for some time. Still, at the thanksgiving, William ignored Harry and Meghan.

They spent that holiday in a waterfront mansion on Vancouver Island, and it was there they decided they would quit as working royals.

THEY NOW LIVE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LIFE

Harry and his family are now based in an £11million mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara, where they have pledged to continue carrying out humanitarian efforts as they used to as royals.

The life they now lead is relatively simpler than the one they led as working royals, and it has done wonders for their family life. Harry once mentioned how a regular evening in their family now looks. He said

“Depending on how the day’s been, we do Archie’s tea, give him a bath, read him a book, put him down, go downstairs, Meg might cook a meal, might order a takeaway, go upstairs sit in bed, turn the TV on, watch some “Jeopardy,” maybe watch a little bit of Netflix.”

Since they settled in, they have strengthened their public presence and have since carved out a niche for themselves among the A-list stars, many of who they have befriended

Some of them include the talented Serena Williams, who first ran into Meghan in 2014, Orlando Bloom and his partner, who became neighbors to them, and Oprah Winfrey, the first person that interviewed them about the aftermath of their exit.

Besides making friends, Harry and Meghan have gotten involved with different projects, including a docuseries the prince created with Oprah Winfrey.

It is titled “The Me You Can’t See,” and it explores the topic of mental health and emotional well-being through the experiences of people from all around the world.

Meghan has also been busy. In 2021, to celebrate her 40th birthday, she teamed up with Melissa McCarthy to start a women’s mentoring campaign. Since their move to the US was concluded, Meghan has had the space to determine who she is.

During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan revealed that the most important title she will ever have after having worn different hats is “mom.”

THEY WERE BOOED AT THE JUBILEE

Harry and his family returned to the UK to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s seven-decades-long reign; however, there were a few setbacks. One of them happened when Harry and Meghan attended the Queen’s Service of Thanksgiving.

The monarch herself was absent due to some issues she experienced on Thursday. After the event, Meghan and Harry exited the church to meet the crowd outside, booing them while Prince William and his wife were followed with cheers.

It was a terrible thing to behold, and according to Neil Sean, the incident has made Harry unhappy with his “new lot.” Sean also pointed out how eager Harry was to join other royal family members for a royal engagement.

Some would argue that it was because he wanted to seal rifts between his family and the royals, but the effort may have been futile because it seems like Harry and his family did not get to spend any real-time with the prince’s immediate family.

There was no acknowledgment between all who were present at the thanksgiving ceremony, and even Prince Philip ignored Harry and Meghan. Later on, he was seen mingling merrily with Kate, and he was even seen blowing her a kiss.

Fans expected a sign of camaraderie between Harry and William since they seemed to be bonding once more after feuding for some time. Still, at the thanksgiving, William also ignored Harry and Meghan.

Before the thanksgiving service, an insider revealed that the brothers had no intention of burying the hatchet during the Jubilee, and their behavior confirmed that at the thanksgiving.

After the service ended, most of the royal family went to the Lord Mayor’s reception at The Guildhall, but Harry and Meghan did not join them.

When the couple flew to the UK last week, fans hoped they would use the opportunity to present their second child to the Queen, who was yet to meet her.

Thankfully, they were able to spend some time with Queen Elizabeth II on the same day they attended the Thanksgiving service. They also met her again on Friday evening, hours before Lilibet’s birthday.

It was one of the great highlights of their trip, and even though their daughter won’t remember the meeting, they will have some photos for her when she grows older.
