How Many Children Does Hilary Duff Have?

Hilary Duff is a successful actress and singer, but her greatest pride comes from being a mother to her kids from her previous and current marriage.

Kids of the nineties and early 2000s would remember Hilary Duff as her Disney Channel character Lizzie McGuire, and although she barely aged, the actress’ life is very different today.

Duff is still an actress, starring in “How I Met Your Father,” but behind the scenes, she is also a proud mother and wife to Matthew Koma.

Duff loves being a mother as she navigates parenthood with her husband. “We are obsessed with our kids, even though we’re so exhausted,” she said. “My entire life’s mission is to be a good parent.”

HOW MANY CHILDREN DOES HILARY DUFF HAVE?

At 34, Duff is a doting mother to three children. Her eldest child, Luca, was born during her marriage with Mike Comrie, while she shares her youngest kids, Banks and Mae, with her current husband, Koma.

Luca was born at Cedars-Sinai while his mother was induced with epidural. So for Duff’s second child, she decided to have a home birth without drugs.

In 2021, Duff announced her third pregnancy on Instagram with a photo of her husband and her growing belly. A few months later, they welcomed Mae the same way as Banks.

Although parenthood has always been easy to love, it did not come without challenges and criticism. In 2022, Duff’s post of her three-year-old daughter without a car seat went viral and sparked debate amongst social media users who had safety concerns for the toddler.

Duff never addressed the issue, but Koma didn’t sit back and watch his wife endure the backlash. He left sarcastic replies to some of those who negatively commented on the post.

WHO IS HILARY DUFF’S HUSBAND, MATTHEW KOMA?

Duff and Koma’s love story began in 2015, a year after her separation from Comrie. Koma, a singer, song writer, and music producer, collaborated with Duff for her album, “Breathe In, Breathe Out,” and instantly hit it off.

Two years later, they attended the pre-SAG Awards party as a couple. After welcoming their firstborn, Koma proposed to the actress and took their relationship status up a notch as husband and wife.

The wedding ceremony took place in their Los Angeles home with only a few people in attendance. Nevertheless, it was a special day they would treasure forever.

WHY HILARY DUFF DIVORCED MIKE COMRIE?

Before Koma, Duff was married to professional hockey player, Comrie, in 2010. However, their relationship went downhill in a few years and ended in 2014. Duff filed for divorce the following year. Duff said of their life together:

“I went through my highs and lows, but at the end of the day, I wouldn’t change anything. I feel happy and I’m excited about everything I have.”

Admittedly, Duff was more than ready to get married the first time around. She didn’t think it was crazy to settle down at 22 given that she had been working since 12. Despite how her first union ended, the “Cheaper by the Dozen” star never shut out the idea of tying the knot again.
