Brady’s relationship with Moynahan, an actress, began in 2004. The duo dated for two years before ending things. A few months after the relationship hit the rocks, Brady found a new lover, the model who later became his wife.

Just after meeting Bundchen, the NFL star received news that his ex-girlfriend was carrying their child. It was not easy getting past this complicated stage in their individual lives. But, eventually, they triumphed, and both have a good relationship with their son, Jack Edward Thomas Moynahan, born in 2007.

Years after their split, Moynahan confessed that she was devastated because the pregnancy came simultaneously with a heartbreak. In her words: 

“Going through that traumatic time of being heartbroken and then being pregnant turned my whole life upside down and inside out and just knocked the wind out of me.”

“I feel blessed to have him in my life. I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me, it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent.” 

Bündchen continued: “I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”

At the time, Jack’s mother refused to comment, but sources claimed she was upset by the model’s claims. Moynahan remained elusive with her opinions until 2011 when she made a rather coy revelation about her relationship with Brady and his family.

She said: “I never made a comment about Gisele or Tom publicly. I have a relationship with these people on a daily basis. I’m raising a child, and it’s public.” Bündchen continued
