Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood went from co-stars to lifelong partners! After meeting on the set of “Supergirl” and starting a romance, in early 2019, they made the major announcement that they’d become engaged in an Instagram post. Benoist shared a photo of herself wearing a diamond engagement ring next to Wood, writing, “yes yes yes it will always be yes.” In September of that year, E! News reported that the pair had privately tied the knot in Ojai, California. A source explained to the news outlet, “It looked like an elegant outdoor dinner party. There was a lot of laughter and happiness.”

Benoist visited “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in November 2019 and talked about her wedding day. “We had a really, really nice day,” Benoist said. “It was very special.” The “Glee” alum also discussed her meaningful romance with Wood via Instagram in 2021. “This love wholly accepts me and encourages me to unapologetically be myself, and to unapologetically love myself — whoever that self is day after day,” she wrote alongside a selfie with herself and Wood. “This love is the one I was always looking for, and I never should have accepted less.” The love birds have not only kept up their epic romance, but they’ve expanded their family unit in the process.
