The English singer was linked to Jayson Tatum in 2020, although neither addressed the rumors surrounding their alleged relationship.

Mai, whose career began in 2014 when she joined “X Factor” as a part of the trio singing group Arize, pursued a solo career and released songs on SoundCloud. After DJ Mustard discovered her, she signed with 10 Summer Records and Interscope Records.

While the duo is notoriously private about their romance, actor Michael Blackson confirmed Mai and Tatum’s relationship

She focused on her career for many years but, in 2020, made headlines for her alleged love life. She and Tatum first sparked dating rumors in October 2020 after the award-winning singer shared a photo in Tatum’s residence.

Two years later, Mai was seen with the Boston Celtics star at a Fourth of July party hosted by Michael Rubin at the Hamptons. Both dressed in all-white, the alleged couple looked happy to be in each other’s company.

How the duo met is unknown, but Tatum is the first man publicly linked to the artist. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum was in a relationship with Samantha Amos and Toriah Lachell in the 2010s. The athlete shares a son with Lachell named Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr.

Tatum, who is making waves in the sports scene, was raised by supportive parents in Missouri. Besides basketball, he runs a candy company for kids and adults.

There Is Only One Person Who Confirmed Jayson Tatum Is Ella Mai’s Boyfriend

Many were interested in Mai and Tatum’s relationship after their sighting at the star-studded Fourth of July party. They even appeared in entrepreneur Will Makris’ Instagram post of the event, where he said:

“Humbled to be a small part of bringing so many incredible people together. What a night!”

While the duo is notoriously private about their romance, actor Michael Blackson confirmed Mai and Tatum’s relationship. During an interview on “The Breakfast Club,” he narrated how he found out about their romance.

While at the party, Blackson saw Tatum and greeted him. When Blackson asked the basketball player why he “was good,” Tatum responded, “[because] I’m with her,” while pointing to Mai. Blackson added:

“He told me that’s his girl […]. Jayson Tatum said, ‘I’m with [Mai]. This is my girl.'”

Mai and Tatum’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement over the brewing relationship and shared their sentiments on Twitter.

“I’m here for it,” one person said of their relationship. “Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai dating. He won that time,” another fan tweeted.

Ella Mai Likes to Give Love Advice to Her Friends and Receive Love Advice

Although Mai doesn’t talk about her relationship, she likes giving her friends advice about romantic pursuits. She also enjoys their guidance, claiming she is a “mess” like her friends.

According to the singer, she believes she is good at spotting people in a relationship. However, she knows things may not always be as it seems on the outside.

Unfortunately, Mai won’t give fans the satisfaction of confirming her relationship. She remains professional in her work and separates her personal life from it.
