The “American Idol” alumnus recently won a Tony for her production of the musical “A Strange Loop,” officially ticking off all the must-haves to enter into EGOT status.
The actress has ensured that the idea of winning permeates throughout her entire life, with two dogs named Oscar and Grammy.

These dogs are two of the many connections she has a love for or fondness for in her life – including her romantic life.
Hudson was in a relationship with James Peyton from 1999 until 2007. The vocalist refused to speak about why they went their separate ways, stating that she didn’t want to hurt his privacy.

Her most well-known relationship was with David Otunga. The two were on the verge of getting married, — after dating for under a year, they got engaged in 2008.
Hudson and Otunga remained engaged for almost a decade, calling it off in 2017 when Hudson filed a protective order against him amid the split.
She claimed he was abusive, but Otunga denied this. In 2018, the charges Hudson laid against him concerning domestic battery were cleared.

According to TMZ, the couple’s split was based on accusations that she was unfaithful to Otunga with Mali Music – a music producer. They were rumors that the two had become close when making music together in the studio.
At one point, there were rumors that Hudson and “Black-Eyed Peas'” Will.i.am were romantically involved when they were working together on “The Voice” alongside Tom Jones and Olly Murs.
Whether these rumors were true remains unknown, and with Hudson keeping her dating life under wraps, it’s hard to know if or who she is seeing now.

Hudson and her former fiancé had a child together, who they named David Daniel. Taking after his mom, the vocalist says he has enjoyed music since he was incredibly young.
