Less than one year after starring in Meg 2: The Trench, Jason Statham is back for yet another action flick — The Beekeeper, which is coming to theaters this week. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new movie!
Directed by David Ayer, The Beekeeper follows Mr. Clay (Statham), who is a former operative for a powerful organization called “Beekeepers.” After his close friend falls for a phishing scam and takes his own life, Mr. Clay embarks on a revenge mission against the company behind the scam.
So, where can you watch The Beekeeper? Will be it be on Prime Video? What about Netflix?
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:
WHERE TO WATCH THE BEEKEEPER:
As of now, the only way to watch The Beekeeper is to head out to a movie theater when it premieres on Friday, Jan. 12. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, YouTube and Apple, or become available to stream for free on Amazon.
WILL THE BEEKEEPER BE ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO?
Since The Beekeeper is being distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, it will eventually make its way to Amazon Prime Video. While there is no set release date just yet, we can make an estimate based on a previous movie released by the company.
Saltburn joined the streaming platform on Dec. 22 — exactly five weeks after it premiered in theaters. If The Beekeeper follows the same trajectory, it could become available to stream on Prime Video as early as Feb. 16, 2024.
WILL THE BEEKEEPER BE ON HBO MAX?
No, The Beekeeper will not be on Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The platform — previously known as HBO Max — also no longer does direct-to-streaming releases. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the Max release.
WILL THE BEEKEEPER BE ON NETFLIX?
No, The Beekeeper will not be on Netflix — at least, not any time soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to theaters or wait until it becomes available on Prime Video.
