Is Zac Efron Ready to Have Kids? The ‘Firestarter’ Star Shares His Thoughts on Fatherhood

Zac Efron has finally reached that age where he is playing father roles in movies, and it has made his fans wonder if the “High School Musical” star is ready to play the role in reality. They finally have their answer.

Zac Efron is 34 years old — an age comfortable enough to make moviemakers feel confident to cast him in the role of a father in films. Indeed in the remake of Stephen King’s 1984 horror film, “Firestarter,” Efron plays the dad role, and he does it well.

The talented actor was even referred to as “zaddy” — a modern term that means a man many find appealing and also fashionable. However, while he has reached the age of playing fathers in the movies, the question still remains — is he ready to take on that sort of responsibility in real life?

IS ZAC EFRON READY TO BECOME A FATHER?

Efron appeared in an interview with famous on-air personality Ellen DeGeneres very recently. They got to talk about his trip to Australia and the part he played in the still filming movie “Firestarter.” 

In the reboot, Efron filled the role of a father whose adolescent daughter, Charlie, is being pursued by some nefarious people because of her unique abilities.

The talented actor revealed that he hardly had time to think about his role in the movie because he had to start filming as soon as he completed his compulsory quarantine. 

Efron told Ellen that one of the first couple of scenes he had to do included a big father-daughter moment that made him realize that he was ill-prepared for the role.

Still, fortunately, he was able to pull it off, and after two days, he established a bond with the 12-year-old Ryan Kiera Armstrong, whom they paired him up with for the film. 

It made Ellen ask him if his portrayal of the doting father on the show made him think about having kids of his own, and to everyone listening, the actor looked a bit flustered as he tried to come up with a suitable answer. He said:

“You know what, I think that was a healthy dose to put me off of it for as long as necessary.”

After that, he revealed how his participation in the movie reminded him of how much respect he has for parents generally before waving to his own mother in the audience and declaring his love for her. 

IS ZAC EFRON DATING SOMEONE NOW?

At the moment, Efron is not in a relationship with anyone. His most recent dabble into the affairs of the heart was with a woman named Vanessa Valdares, and they were together for close to 10 months before they went their separate ways in 2021. 

The two had initially met while he was in Australia back in June 2020 when she worked at the Byron Bay General Store & Café, and they became instant friends. 

The friendship was what blossomed into romance, but unfortunately, it did not stand the test of time. Over the years, Efron has also had relationships with stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Lily Collins, and Alexandra Daddario. 

Fans hope and pray that his next will be the last, but these things are never set in stone, especially if one or both parties are Hollywood elites.
