Dancing On Ice fans are furious at presenter Holly Willoughby tonight as they accused her of ‘gaslighting’ viewers over her ‘apology’ for swearing live on air.
ITV1 and ITVX viewers are sure they heard host Holly tell Stephen Mulhern to ‘f*** off’ after he shouted at her in a gag that went wrong.
Viewers heard Holly say ‘f*** off’ or possibly, ‘f***er’, under her breath just a few minutes into Sunday night’s episode.

Then in the next part, after the break, Holly was forced to address the controversy.
After the next ad break, Holly Willoughby denied swearing at Stephen as she said; “Now a few minutes ago Stephen made me jump and a few of you think I said a naughty word.
“I don’t think I did but I will watch it back on ITVX as that’s where you watch things back.”
Fans of the show were fuming and accused her of ‘gaslighting’ them.

Former This Morning presenter Holly used to front the show with co-host Phillip Schofield, but following his ‘legal but ill advised’ affair with a show runner, both he and then Holly left the breakfast show before he walked away from Dancing On Ice too.
In a moment where Holly was introducing the next dance, Stephen then shouted loudly at Holly, trying to make her jump.
Viewers then heard Holly say ‘f****er!’, back to Stephen under her breath, in a moment caught by the microphone on her label.

Tonight, there will be no dance-off at the end of the episode, Holly also announced.
That means the lowest voted dancers will be sent straight home at the end in a major change to the format.
