Some Pride of Britain Awards viewers found themselves unable to continue on Thursday night because they ran into the same problem.
The extremely emotional night saw Jack, the 13-year-son of Fusilier Lee Rigby from Halifax in West Yorkshire, pick up special recognition for his fundraising, as well as awards for Rob Burrow, Lee Burkhill and so many more selfless and wonderful heroes.
Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo hosted the glittering awards ceremony, run by the Daily Mirror, saw a host of stars including from Strictly Come Dancing, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and more applaud the real people who make Britain proud.

The night was so emotional that many ITV viewers said they couldn’t continue – because they had cried for an hour solid and had run out of tissues.

And though viewers were sobbing, the ones who did have enough tissues ready were full of praise for the deserving winners.
