The video clip was shared online, and netizens flooded the comments section with their opinions about the “Who Am I?” actor’s relationship with Lam. Instead of talking about the movie, people criticized Chan for abandoning his daughter.

How Did People React to the Viral Video?

Initially, some netizens did not know that the short video was from Chan’s new movie. They thought the girl beside him in the clip was his real daughter, but soon, people began discussing his relationship with Lam.

One netizen said Lam “is a spoiled brat who played the victim when Jackie disowned her.” The YouTube user supported Chan, saying, “he made the right decision disowning that trash of a daughter.”

Meanwhile, a netizen said Chan had “disowned his actual daughter,” to which a fan replied by saying he was “proud” of Chan and “respected” his decision. Similarly, another user pointed out that the girl in the video clip was not Chan’s daughter, adding that Lam was “homeless and abandoned.” In response, a netizen claimed Lam was a “lazy bum who doesn’t want to work and wants daddy to take care of her.”

The short video clip from Jackie’s latest movie reminded people of his daughter and her official statement regarding her sexual orientation. However, not everyone knows Chan reportedly wasn’t there when Lam was born.

Who Is Jackie Chan’s Illegitimate Daughter?

Chan shares his illegitimate daughter Lam with Elaine Ng Yi-lei. It was seventeen years after tying the knot with his now-wife, Joan Lin, that Chan confessed he had an affair with Yi-lei.

“I’m not a saint. I’ve done something wrong. I’ve done something that many men in the world have done. Maybe it was a moment of playfulness,” he said about his affair. Meanwhile, Chan accepted his mistake at home and apologized to Lin and their son.

However, Chan reportedly cut ties with Yi-lei upon learning she was pregnant with his baby. Reports suggest the actor never offered financial help to his illegitimate daughter or saw her after Yi-lei gave birth.

In 2015, Lam spoke about her father in an interview with E! News, saying he “never existed” in her life. She admitted that Chan was her biological father, but she didn’t see him as a father figure or “need” him in her life.

What Did Etta’s Mother Say about Her?

Lam posts photos of herself with her girlfriend, Andi Autumn, on an Instagram account whose bio reads, “the excursions of a couple in love.” Lam’s girlfriend is 22 years older than her, and the couple went viral in 2018 when they made a video saying they were homeless.

In the video, Lam introduced herself as “Jackie Chan‘s daughter” before explaining that she and Autumn were homeless because of their “homophobic parents.” Then, Autumn shared that she had asked for help from all her friends and family, but everyone told them to go to a shelter where she feared they would be “split up.”

When Yi-lei was asked about her daughter after the video surfaced, she said Lam shouldn’t have taken Chan’s name. She added that her daughter and Autumn should find work instead of complaining on the internet.

She also revealed that Lam had “emotional problems” and her girlfriend was “wrong” to let her film the video. When asked if she had spoken to Lam, Yi-lei refused to answer and believed the couple should not hold their parents responsible.
