Of Polish, Jewish, and Dutch descent, Seymour was born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg in 1951 in Middlesex, England. She changed her name to Jane Seymour to make it easier for people to remember after she ventured into the world of show business.
Although Seymour made her acting debut in “Oh! What a Lovely War” when she was 7, her passion first lay in performing arts. But after sustaining an injury at 13, Seymour had to choose a different career path and opted to try her hand at acting.
