While they were married, Mai made it clear she had no intentions of having children. Harteis understood Mai’s decision; however, he eventually had a change of heart, and his need for children took a toll on their marriage. During an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Mai spoke candidly about her “draining” divorce and revealed she felt she was “too young” to have gotten married.

Before tying the knot, Mai and Harteis had not lived together, nor had they been intimate. During their marriage, Mai realized that the exes were not “compatible.” She said:

“I made choices where my instincts told me, ‘I don’t know about this,’ but I didn’t listen. He was a great guy and we tried our best, but we just weren’t compatible by the end.”

Harteis has made a name for himself as a professional hunter and TV presenter. According to his website, Harteis has traveled to all corners of the world and garnered a reputation for being an outdoorsman and skillful archer.

He and Mai parted ways in 2018 and had their divorce finalized in 2019. During an emotional segment on “The Real,” Mai had nothing but praise for her ex and said, “He’s like my dad.”

Harteis Proposed to His Model Girlfriend

Toole and Harteis met while she was modeling for a company. According to Toole, she was on the magazine’s cover while her partner had a hunting show.

The duo was at the same location, and Harteis walked up to the model to get a signed magazine for a friend. The pair stayed in touch for several years and often saw each other at events.

Toole and Harteis began their relationship, and in May 2021, he popped the question. During an interview with Amomama, Toole revealed that she had misplaced her engagement ring and suspected it had been stolen as she had searched everywhere to no avail.

As COVID-19 was still fast-spreading, the couple decided to push back their wedding date. Toole revealed they were in no rush and had plans to have the big day in their backyard. They married in June 2022 and took to social media to share the news.

Toole and Harteis often share snippets of their lives and little family on social media. In one post, Toole wore a white dress and posed in her husband’s embrace, smiling heartily.

Another image saw Harteis holding on to his happy and adorable kids. The trio beamed with joy and wore big smiles on their faces. Harteis also shared a snap of him and his family wearing matching outfits and enjoying the moment.

Since Mai and Harteis parted ways, she has also found love again. On March 21, 2021, Mai tied the knot with Grammy nominee Jeezy in their home in Atlanta. Mai enjoys her relationship with Jeezy and once compared it with her marriage to Harteis on an episode of “The Real.”

Mai made it known that Jeezy often does unique things, like driving her to the airport while abandoning his birthday party. After welcoming their daughter, Monaco, in January, Mai introduced her daughter to fans in a Youtube video on her channel. She said:

“The new mom anxiety is real and I wasn’t prepared for the hit of it.”

Jeannie Mai previously said she did not want children but had a change of heart after meeting Jeezy. She waited months after Monaco was born to introduce her to the world after feeling “scared.” The TV show host said she was feeling a swirl of emotions after becoming a mother for the first time, but above all, she was “super stoked and happy.”
