On Friday, November 25, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez shocked her fans and followers by deleting all her Instagram posts. Initially, fans had no idea what was going on until she posted a video of her recreating the album art from her previous album, “This Is Me … Then.”

It all turned out to be a media stunt to announce the release of her latest musical project, “This Is Me … Now.” Fans were overjoyed about the new album, and long-time followers noticed a callback to “Dear Ben” on the previous album. “Dear Ben Pt. II” was featured on the list of new songs.

The album comes after Lopez and Ben Affleck decided to give their relationship another try. The two were previously married but decided to go their separate ways after a while together. Like the previous album, this new record seems inspired by Affleck. A press release stated:

“[The record] chronicles the emotional, spiritual and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades. [It includes] confessional songs, reflections on the trials of her past [and] upbeat celebrations of love while sharing some of her most vulnerable truths.”

The singer mentioned she hopes that by blending their two families, their children gain new allies in each of them. Lopez shares a pair of twins with her ex, Marc Anthony, while Affleck had three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

The “On The Floor” singer posted a video of their Thanksgiving on November 27, showing the family bonding during the holiday. She captioned the post, “This Is … Thanksgiving Holiday 🤍🍁” and showed her cuddling with her kids.

In the video, Affleck can also be seen with Lopez’s son falling asleep on his chest in the car while Lopez cuddled with Affleck’s son. The couple remarried in July with just their five kids present.

The family celebrated the holiday along with Lopez’s sister and mom, Lynda and Lupe Lopez. Her manager, Benny Medina, and her friend, Stevie Mackey, were also present. The group celebrated at a beachfront house.

“People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real… All we’ve ever wanted was to kind of come to a place of peace in our lives where we really felt that type of love that you feel when you’re very young and wonder if you can have that again.”

Affleck’s ex has been married to John Miller since 2018. The two divorced in 2015 and share two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, as well as a son, Samuel Affleck. The “All I Have” singer and her ex-husband had twins, Emme and Maximillian Muñiz.

Lopez shared that while some things are still taking time, her children are adjusting tremendously to the new family structure. She mentioned many things should be “handled with care,” but things have been going great so far.
