Joan Collins Shares Candid Photo of Her Big Family ‘Soulmate’ Husband

On December 22, 2022, Joan Collins shared a family Instagram photo taken outside before Christmas Day. The star tagged several people who’d gathered to spend time during the festive season.

The actress noted how she spent the day with her lovely nieces and their spouses and children; her grandchildren. The big family seemed happy as the men stood and embraced behind the seated women.

Collins revealed that her husband was also part of the group. The former “Dynasty” actress, 89, in July 2022, was a mother to three children, Katyana Kass, Alexander Newley, and Tara Newley, and became a grandmother to her fourth grandchild, Deia Shanaya.

Deia was the first daughter of the star’s son, Alexander “Sacha” Newley, and his wife, Sheela Raman. The actress’s three other grandchildren were Miel Celeste Adam, then 23, Weston Skeates, 19, and Ava Grace Newley, 17.

Collins confessed that becoming a grandparent again was a welcomed evolution, saying, “It’s really lovely to become a grandma again.” The actress’s last marriage was the one that fulfilled her the most.

Joan’s Happiest and Last Marriage

In January 2015, Collins confessed that her fifth marriage would be the “happiest and last.” Back then, the actress and her husband, Percy Gibson, were close to celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary.

Gibson was 32 years younger than his legendary wife. The star, made a Dame in the New Year’s Honours, revealed how wonderful her husband was and described him as her “soulmate.”

Collins shared how she and Gibson never argued and were very understanding of one another. Part of the reason the couple could withstand decades together was due to some of the habits they still undertook.

Collins Still Has Romantic Dates with Husband after 20 Years

In December 2022, Collins revealed some of the things she did with her producer husband to keep the spark alive after 20 years of marriage. She was photographed departing a restaurant in West Hollywood.

The actress and Gibson, then 57, had gone out for a dinner date at the celebrity-favorite Craig’s. She was dressed in a red suit with a white shirt underneath, while the producer matched in a red pocket handkerchief in his cream-white suit jacket pocket and matching socks.

Gibson also appeared to be holding his wife’s white jacket in case the night became chillier as he tenderly considered her needs. The star also balanced her arm through his as they walked together.

The couple was busy during the festive season, and Collins uploaded Instagram images of them enjoying a swim the same month. On Christmas Day, the pair was photographed in a swimming pool in Beverly Hills.

The actress wore a leopard print one-piece that complimented her fantastic body. Collins wore earrings and a necklace, her hair was in an updo hairstyle, and she wore oversized dark sunglasses to shield her eyes from the sun.

Another photo showed Gibson embracing her in the water as he wore swimming shorts. The star also shared a picture of her sitting on a white couch and unwrapping some Christmas presents while surrounded by more gifts on the chair and floor.

Some of the gifts were already opened while others weren’t. One of the actress’s presents was a box of Christmas crackers, and a Christmas card of two was also visible in the image.

Gibson and his wife appeared to be living wholesome and fun lives as another image showed them enjoying a meal with friends. The actress looked stunning in a red plaid skirt and a white blouse.

In the post’s caption, Collins revealed that she and her husband had a “terrific” Christmas Day. The star shared how the weather had been 82 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing them to go swimming.

The producer’s iconic wife also mentioned they could have lunch at the Bricusse’s home. The actress and her husband tied the knot in 2002, two years after meeting during a theatre production.
