Joey King’s parents raised her in Simi Valley, a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. While neither followed a career in the entertainment industry, all their children have established acting careers.

The actress recalled the moment she discovered she had secured the role of Selena Gomez’s sister in “Ramona and Beezus” when she was just ten. Joey mentioned that her mother was so thrilled and overjoyed that she cried for joy upon hearing the news. Even though the actress has been seen with her parents, her dad stays out of the spotlight.

Not only is she close to her parents, but she also has fond memories of her grandparents. Joey’s late grandfather, Joseph Farrar, was a soldier. In 2018, she shared a poignant photo of her grandfather dressed in his service uniform and honored his memory with a heartfelt tribute to celebrate Veterans Day.
