On Sunday, the “Grease” star took to Instagram and shared an unseen throwback video of Kelly Preston. In the clip, she marveled at a Mother’s Day gift box marked with “Mom” lettering on the top cover.

Travolta captioned the short clip of his late wife showing the box to the camera, “Happy Mother’s Day Kelly. We miss you and love you!”

Travolta signed the post from himself and their kids. The couple also shared a son, Jett, who sadly died at 16 in 2009.

Preston died of breast cancer at 57 in 2020. She battled with the illness for two years behind the scenes and underwent treatment privately. “She was a bright, beautiful, and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched,” the family rep said in a statement at the time.

For last year’s Mother’s Day, Travolta honored her by sharing a video montage featuring sweet photos of the couple, starting with the words “From Me to You” with Barbra Streisand’s “That Face” playing in the background.

The 69-year-old father recently shared a clip of his family of three celebrating Easter, complete with egg hunting, an elegantly set dining table, and lots of dog cuddles.

Travolta also documented Ella’s 23rd birthday celebration at Disneyland in a sweet video to the tune of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” He captioned the post, “Here’s a song for you on your birthday my dearest Ella! I love you with all my heart!! Your Dad!!”

The family wandered around the theme park with interlinked arms as they enjoyed a fireworks show. Ella then blew candles on a tray of cupcakes.

In a Father’s Day post in 2021, Ella praised the actor for being a fantastic dad. She said:

“Daddy, you make parenting look so easy, though it not always is. You make every day better than the one before it. You bring joy to us when we are down. You are our best friend and we love you to the moon and back around. I hope to be even half as good of a parent as you someday.”

After becoming a single parent, Travolta has since called fatherhood a great privilege.
