When Favreau was still trying to get Tillem to marry him, one thing that helped him was his classic Cadillac car. As young as he was, his future wife and mother-in-law were impressed with him driving around a big old Cadillac.

His wife has also helped him in more ways than one. One example of her help happened in the mid-2000s when her husband became concerned about his weight. Favreau asked his wife about shedding some weight, and she gave him a diet plan which helped him lose about 100lbs.

Jon Favreau’s Wife Joya Tillem

Tillem and Favreau surprisingly met on the set of the hit TV series, “Friends.” Favreau had been shooting his parts in his six-episode cameo as Monica’s boyfriend, but it is unclear what Tillem was doing on the set that day. It was a meeting by chance, but it felt destined, and they have been inseparable since.

Born on May 14, 1970, Dr. Tillem has never been in show business, unlike her husband, but, like her husband, she was also born in a Jewish family. An enterprising and zealous student, she showed great potential in her academics at a young age.

After growing up in Sonoma, California, she went to study medicine at the prestigious Georgetown University Medical School and graduated in 1996. She subsequently did her residency at Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where she practices.

Nevertheless, his family made sure he managed to have his Bar Mitzvah after his mother passed away in 1979 from leukemia. He attended the Bronx High School of Science before going to Queen College.

He dropped out of college and moved to Chicago to pursue a career in Comedy. He performed minor roles in Chicago and Los Angeles before getting his big break in the 1996 film “Swingers.”

He has since gone on to much bigger things, none bigger than his contributions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he has been involved as an actor and director. His first Marvel movie was “Iron Man” with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

Family Weekend

Favreau’s body sometimes comes under the spotlight due to his heavyweight looks. In one instance in 2012, the then 45-year-old actor looked stout as he walked on the beach in Hawaii with his wife and their two youngest kids, Madeline and Brighton.

Meanwhile, as she rocked her swimwear, Tillem looked like she could still have a successful modeling career. The two were enjoying their family time—something the couple takes very dear to heart.

The couple, who met when Favreau was still an up-and-coming actor, reached new heights after their relationship blossomed. Tillem has played a significant role by providing excellent support to her husband.

When they met, the paparazzi would follow them if they passed in front of them, but that is no longer the case. However, the longtime lovebirds have remained grounded and emphasized the importance of family time. They have three children, whom Dr. Tillem raises with her husband at their home in Los Angeles.
