Julie Newmar Stuns at 89 – She Still Lives with Son with Down Syndrome after He Taught Her ‘Unconditional Love’

While talking about her son in an interview, Newmar requested parents of kids with Down syndrome not to “feel like they have an afflicted child.” She admitted having Smith in her life helped her a lot.

Newmar loves spending time with her 42-year-old son and posts photos with him on social media. “He’s the cause of the great expansion of my outlook on life,” the actress confessed.

At 89, Newmar lives in her Los Angeles home surrounded by a vast garden. She believes having a bigger outdoor space is better because looking after it is easier than cleaning rooms.

The “Batman” star compares her garden to “paradise” and believes it will help her enjoy the remaining years of her life.

“Every day I go outside, I see something new that’s blooming, and it transfixes me,” she confessed while talking about her 8600-square-feet garden.

Newmar’s outdoor space has different kinds of plants that are a treat for the eyes. Within it are four secret gardens that add to the property’s beauty.

While discussing her garden in an interview, Newmar reflected on her life. She admitted that life is all about working on yourself, similar to working on a garden, explaining:

“You can bury a lot of troubles while you’re digging in the dirt.”

On March 16, 2023, Newmar posted a photo of herself with D’Andre Michael and Phillip Nathaniel from Danne King’s 80th birthday party.
