Chleb Ravenell and Kathryn Dennis’ break-up may have just aired on “Southern Charm,” but Ravenell recently revealed that everything was not as it seemed. It’s difficult to have your relationship end on national television, but Ravenell has taken the opportunity to reflect on the experience, and what he really thinks went wrong between him and his ex-girlfriend. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ravenell confessed that he believes Dennis used children as an excuse to end things with him.
“I don’t think the kids were a factor in our relationship,” Ravenell continued, “I feel like the kids were an excuse on a reason why we broke up, but it wasn’t a main factor.” He also revealed that he was not allowed to discipline Dennis’ children or act as a stepfather due to Thomas Ravenel having full custody and control of the supervised visits.
Ravenell told ET he chose not to watch his break up with Dennis on “Southern Charm” because it was too emotional for him. During the episode, Dennis called her now ex-boyfriend “emotionally unavailable” and claimed that he lacked empathy towards her (via Page Six). Ravenell admitted to feeling overwhelmed due to her custody battle and feud with the father of her children, causing Dennis to ultimately pull the plug on their relationship. He told Entertainment Tonight that they don’t talk anymore, but that he wishes Dennis the best.
