Playing a San Francisco cop on “Nash Bridges” scored Don Johnson an invite to the birthday bash of the city’s mayor, Willie Brown, where he met Kelley Phleger. The mayor later officiated their wedding a little over two years later.

Don Johnson Was Married Several Times. Who Are His Former Partners?

The Don was married briefly in 1973 and 1968; both unions were reportedly annulled within days. The identities of his pre-fame wives are not public knowledge, and the star does not talk about them. However, he has spoken about his sexual prowess well into his 70s.

He met actress Melanie Griffith in 1972 — she was just 14 — through his “Harrad Experiment” co-star, her mom Tippi Hedren. He moved in with Griffith and got engaged once she turned 18. They divorced six months after their 1976 wedding and were married again between 1989 and 1996.

The Don has a son with Patti D’Arbanville, who he dated from 1981 until 1985, and his relationship with Barbara Streisand in the late eighties is preserved in their chat-topping 1988 duet, “Till I Loved You.” He was also linked to Uma Thurman when she was 18 and he was 38.

Don Johnson said on marrying Griffith a second time, “It was simply a matter of two old souls connecting so that Dakota could be born.” Dakota is a successful actress, but her dad promised not to see her in her breakout role in the erotic franchise, “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

His son with D’Arbanville, Jesse Johnson, is a musician, actor, and producer. He guest-starred in a 2001 “Nash Bridges” episode with his dad and had roles in popular television shows like “Hawaii Five-0” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
