Kelly Slater’s Long-Time Girlfriend Is Also a Surfer: Meet Kalani Miller

Many fans of professional surfer Kelly Slater are curious if he has a wife because he has been frequently seen with fellow surfer and entrepreneur Kalani Miller.

Born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Kelly Slater began competing professionally as a teenager and has since won 11 World Surf League (WSL) Championships. He is considered one of the greatest surfers of all time and has had a major impact on the sport.

Kalani Miller Also Has a Passion for Surfing, but She’s More than a Surfing Girl

Miller is a skilled surfer and artist raised in the beach town of San Clemente, California. She comes from a family of surfers, designers, and ocean lovers who encouraged her to express herself creatively.

She spent much of her youth drawing and painting. Aside from surfing and visual arts, Kalani began modeling as a teenager. She later attended university and used her knowledge to start her own business.

She now uses her skills and passions in her and her sister’s business, a swimwear company called Mikoh. The company blends the laid-back lifestyle of the beach town with a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic.

How Did They Meet?

Miller and Slater first met at a trade show in San Diego around 2006. Their booths were across from each other. Despite being in the same industry, they had never seen each other before.

They started out as friends, but one day Slater told Miller he was in love with her. She knew deep down that they had their first date in France. Kelly loves surfing very much and is passionate about what he does.

Miller appreciates this and finds it rare to find someone who loves what they do so much. The couple’s love for the ocean and surfing continues to be essential to their relationship.

Are They Going to Get Married?

In a 2019 interview, Miller mentioned that she hoped she and Slater would get married someday, although it was not a priority for them at the time because they were pretty busy.

Miller wrote that Slater was his “ride or die” went they did the fantastic surfing trick barrel ride.

When asked about their plans for having children, she said that she would prefer to have two or three kids. But she admitted that she wasn’t sure how Kelly would adjust to fatherhood, considering his competitive nature.

In an Instagram post in February, Miller shared her admiration for Slater’s passion and dedication to surfing. She said Slater is someone who frequently has moments when he feels very connected to the universe, being in tune with the ocean, the elements, and himself.

Miller’s dedication has helped Slater become one of the world’s most successful and respected surfers. In a 2019 interview, Miller spoke about Slater’s passion for surfing and how it comes ahead of everything else in his life. She said:

“He just really loves it. I love how passionate he is about it, always trying to get better.”

In 2018, the couple impressed fans with their tandem surfing skills, as shown in a video MIller posted to Instagram. They performed a series of impressive maneuvers at the Surf Ranch, showcasing their synchronicity and connection with the ocean.

Miller wrote that Slater was his “ride or die” went they did the fantastic surfing trick barrel ride. Several fans in the comment section quickly commented about their mind-blowing activity.

A fan wrote that the couple’s recent video was the “coolest thing” on the platform. The video has received 38,218 views so far. Slater and Miller are among the celebrity couples whose relationship is adored by many.

Like Miller and Slater, another pair, mixed martial artist Max Holloway and professional surfer Alessa Holloway, has also impressed fans with their relationship.
