Kevin Costner Divorce Drama: Actor Reportedly Lowers Estranged Wife’s Credit Card Limit

Kevin Costner’s divorce has turned out to be messy. The actor reportedly reduced his wife’s monthly credit card spending after she settled legal fees without his consent.

Kevin Costner’s wife, Christine Baumgartner, will not spend more than 30k monthly after the actor lowered her credit card limit.

As per legal records, the actor had no alternative but to decrease Christine’s credit card expenses since she disrupted the established order by charging over $105,000 to divorce attorneys and forensic accountants without notifying him in advance.

In another court document filed by Kevin Costner’s wife, she claimed the actor had canceled one of her credit cards less than two months before she began the divorce proceedings. She further alleged that the veteran actor had also reduced the credit limit on her remaining card to $15,000 per month without providing her with any prior notification.

Continuing her statement, the mother of three mentioned that Kevin’s attorney clarified that the credit card action was a response to her payment of $105,000 to her lawyers and experts without Kevin’s consent.

Christine emphasized that Kevin was fully aware of her need to pay her legal team, and despite multiple requests for him to contribute directly, he refused to fulfill the requested payments.

Kevin Costner’s divorce from his wife has had a series of disputes. In a previous court filing, the award-winning actor, known for his role in “Yellowstone,” claimed that Christine had refused to leave his residence in Santa Barbara.

According to Kevin, their prenuptial agreement stipulated that Christine had a 30-day period to vacate the property. He claimed the home was a pre-marital asset he acquired in 1988, 16 years before marriage. However, recently a judge ruled in Kevin’s favor, and Christine was ordered to move out of the property by July 31.

Initially, she had requested $248,000 per month in child support, a figure Kevin deemed inflated and grossly inaccurate. Instead, he offered the amount of $51,940 per month.

Also, according to court documents, Kevin’s attorneys claim that if his estranged wife, Christine, challenges their prenuptial agreement, she could forfeit all rights to receive any payment.

Kevin and Christine married in 2004 and share three children, Cayden, born in May 2007, their middle child Hayes, born in February 2009 and their youngest child, Grace, born in 2010. After being married for 18 years, Christine filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences. Since then, the couple has been engaged in a contentious divorce battle.
