A police suspect has grabbed the attention of residents for all the wrong reasons after it appeared he had commented on his own wanted appeal.
On December 6, West Yorkshire Police issued an appeal to find Kye Tavernier, 21. He is wanted by the police in Bradford for burglary offences, possession of offensive weapons, domestic related offences and for failing to appear at court.
Mr Tavernier has been seen in the Idle areas of Bradford and is known in the Mixenden and Ovenden area of Halifax, Brighouse and Heckmondwike. The police say extensive enquiries have been made to find him.
However, the police appeal itself, when posted to Facebook, began to draw attention when someone using a profile baring the name Kye Tavernier began to comment below.
One commenter, Toni Louise, wrote: “Really needs a brow lamination his eye brows in every direction is triggering my OCD”.
To which the Kye Tavernier account responded: “I’ll make that my next trip then darling eyebrow lamination it is”.
Under another comment the account tagged West Yorkshire Police directly and said: “Don’t think this is how they expected it to go West Yorkshire Police is it?”
Another comment, by Roxanne Marland, referred to the poster as a “legend”, to which he responded: “This is the support I wanna see guys”. One more comment by Roxanne Marland hit out at the police, saying; “You get paid to do a job…. so do it”. The account responded by saying: “You tell em Roxanne”.
