Lana Del Rey released her song “Cola” in 2012, featuring explicit lyrics. Some of the lyrics in the track are, “I got sweet taste for men who’re older. It’s always been so it’s no surprise.” It also mentions Harvey’s name, diamonds, and partying.

Fans loved Lana Del Rey’s Harvey Weinstein song, but none of them wondered who the mysterious Harvey in the track was. But in October 2017, accusations began to surface against Harvey Weinstein, and it was reported that Weinstein was the inspiration behind Del Rey’s song “Cola.” After these rumors, Lana revealed during an interview with MTV if they were true and said what she thought when she wrote the song:

“I supposed I had a Harvey Weinstein/Harry Winston-type character in mind. I envisioned, like, a benevolent, kind of like diamond-bestowing-upon-starlets visual. Something like a Citizen Kane or something.”

Lana also said she saw the song as funny when she wrote it but now found it “really sad.” Harvey’s name was later changed in the lyrics to “Ah he’s” after he insisted that the singer should change it. Eventually, Lana removed the song “Cola” from her shows following the Harvey scandals.
