Lisa Hartman Black Celebrates 67 with Look-Alike Daughter from Marriage Nurtured Protected for 31 Years

Lisa Hartman Black is an American singer and actress who rose to fame after her role in “Knots Landing” from 1982 to 1986. She also recorded some music, her most famous song being “If Love Must Go.”

Now, she is 67 and has a beautiful family with her husband of 32 years. Her daughter, with whom she runs the family business, wished her a happy birthday, along with many fans and friends.

Lisa has taken a step back from the Hollywood spotlight and enjoys spending time with her family. Black exhibited this when she posted a video of herself, her daughter, and her husband taking a walk together to promote a TV special in 2022.

The former actress turned 67 this weekend, and her daughter was among the first to wish her a happy birthday. Lily Pearl Black, Lisa’s daughter, took to Instagram, where she shared a photo carousel of pictures of her mother.

Lily thanked her mother for being her mom, best friend, and role model. She then admitted wanting to be her mother when she grew up and said she loved her mother very much.

One of the photos in the photo carousel was also featured in a 2021 Instagram post that Lisa made. It is a mirror selfie that her daughter took of the pair. Fans loved the photo, and one gushed:

“Lisa… you are ageless and a beauty….”

The fan then mentioned that Lisa’s daughter looked just like her. Lily has grown up with her parents in a happy and loving marriage, and the couple has often been asked how they did it. They have not been shy about sharing their secrets to a long marriage.

Lisa and her husband, Clint, met backstage at one of his concerts in 1990 on New Year’s Eve. Clint had no idea who Lisa was, but when the couple met, they admitted it was like the world went into slow motion.

Clint admitted he knew he was looking at someone special, even though he knew nothing about her and had never seen her on TV. The musician said all it took was looking into Lisa’s eyes to know she was unique.

In 2021, Clint and Lisa embarked on their first joint tour, and the couple has captivated fans’ hearts with their sweet love for one another and their enduring relationship in a world where most marriages suffer.

When asked how they have remained madly in love for so many years, Clint openly revealed:

“Love is something that you nurture and protect. We’ve grown together in our relationship and never apart.”

Clint also said his wife had had an enormous influence on his life and that any love song he wrote after they met had something to do with who they were as a couple. The couple has even released a few duets together.

However, when Lisa met her husband, she set aside her singing career. She mentioned that she had done what she wanted to in the music industry and knew her husband’s music career was more extensive and needed more attention.

Yet Clint did not want to silence his wife and often sang with her. In fact, he enjoys telling the story of how he got Lisa back into a recording studio to sing “When I Said I Do” with him. He shared:

“I go, ‘Sing this with me,’ because she would sing harmony with me on my favorite songs around the kitchen. So after two days, we’re singing this song, and she sounds great, and then I told her, ‘You’re going to have to record that with me.”

She told him she would not record the song with him and that he ought to find a real singer to do it. When he asked her why she wouldn’t record the song with him, she revealed she was fearful because it seemed like a big deal.

Clint managed to convince her to record the song by telling Lisa that if she didn’t record the song with him, he would find someone else to do it, and she would always look back on it and wish it had been her.

The couple’s daughter has also dipped her toe in the singing pool. Lisa watched her daughter’s love for animals as she grew up and thought that Lily might be a veterinarian because of it. However, that assumption soon disappeared.

One day, Lisa and Clint heard their daughter singing and realized she would probably not be a vet. Their thoughts were later confirmed when their daughter became interested in singing.

The Blacks have turned singing into a family business and, in 2021, planned to take their act on the road. The tour was called “Mostly Hits & The Mrs.” Shortly after they announced their tour, they announced their daughter would join them as an aspiring artist.

Lily joined her mother and father on tour after she decided to take a gap year while studying music at Belmont University in Nashville. Clint asked his daughter to join the tour while the family sat at their dining room table.

Lily revealed that when her father suggested, she screamed and almost cried. Lily considers her mother and father her best friends and, as an only child, has an extremely close relationship with them.

The close relationship was not a coincidence. Instead, Lisa ensured that she shared a close relationship with her daughter by stepping back from Hollywood to focus on raising her only child.

Lisa and Clint fondly look back on their daughter’s childhood, knowing they did their best to always be there for her. They also nurtured her love of performing from a young age and are now the proud parents of an aspiring country artist.
