Tributes to death

Following Jake’s death, tributes were left close to where the alleged attack happened.

On social media, tributes flooded in. Tia Cawood wrote: “Wow. What a horrible world we live in. I can’t believe RIP Jake Rainton. My heart goes out. I can’t believe what I’ve just been told. Another one taken far too soon from this world. I hope justice comes to all of his friends and family.”

And Tia-Antonia Davis wrote: “So sad to hear that another amazing & bright young man has been taken away too soon. I remember how in school you were so confident and funny. I use to tell you that you will be a TV presenter in the future like Ant & Dec.

“I truly feel hurt to find out you’ve been taken from your friends and family so soon because I truly believe you was destined to do great things, Jake. My heart goes out to your family at this hard time RIP Jake Rainton, you’ll never be forgotten.”
